The Opportunity
InCharge Energy is seeking an Electrical Foreman to support the service needs of its customers. The Electrical Foreman will work in the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) team reporting directly to the Regional Superintendent. Key aspects of the work include running conduit, wiring and installation, diagnosing and repairing trouble with charging infrastructure in addition to handling regularly scheduled maintenance. Role is expected to manage InCharge and non-InCharge personnel in the field.
The role requires regional travel with a focus on ensuring a timely and customer centered turnkey delivery experience. Key objectives include maintaining safety standards and timely completion of high-quality field installation work, EVCS Commissioning and field support.
What You'll Do
Perform infield installation of civil and electrical infrastructure including running conduit and wire, trenching and associated civil work, and other in field activities.
Manage a field crew of InCharge and/or non InCharge personnel
Ensure all field crew are properly trained, organized and capable of performing assigned tasks within the specified period
Ensure all field crew properly account for time on each project
Commissioning support for all EV Chargers
Assist in the coordination of third-party vendors for installations
Repair maintain, troubleshoot, and service electrical charging infrastructure using skills and tools that range from computer diagnostics to basic electrical tools
Measure charging infrastructure performance using appropriate tools and techniques
Report and escalate to company management as needed
Represent the company at client locations with the highest standards of professional conduct
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation in Procore and Field Lightening
Attend conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency
Perform other related duties as assigned
Your Experience and Capabilities
5+ years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial settings
Electrical Journeyman or higher qualification (or state/province equivalent) *
OSHA 30 Card required or ability to obtain in 120 days of hire.
Associates Degree or higher in an applicable technical field is desirable
ASE or other applicable certification is desirable
Commercial Drivers license or ability to obtain is highly desirable
ECAP certification (internal requirement) or ability to obtain within 120 days of hire
EVITP Certification or ability to obtain within 120 days of hire
Adaptable to the changing dynamics of start-up business strategy
Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
Detail-oriented, resourceful, diligent, and able to operate independently with limited supervision (completing assigned work accurately and in a timely manner)

General Information
Job Description:
This position is responsible for the installation, repair, and hook-up of equipment for electrical services on a ship. The individual must have working knowledge of electrical theory and procedures and the ability to troubleshoot and repair shipboard electrical systems and equipment (600 V and less) in accordance with specifications and drawings. The qualifications and general capabilities listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability desired by the shipyard.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Must possess the skill sets of subordinate grades of the labor class.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
-Must comply with OSHA standards and the shipyards best safety practices. --Must be physically and medically capable to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) required for the job as prescribed under OSHA standards. PPE includes hard hat, safety glasses, steel toe shoes, goggles, respirator, safety harness, safety line, flotation gear, etc.)
-Arrive at the designated work site at the assigned time and end the shift as directed by the schedule and your supervisor. Personnel are accountable for completion of daily work assignments.
-Keep your work area clean and safe at all times, especially at the end of the shift.
-Understand relevant work processes, operation of equipment, and complete tasks proficiently.
-Use appropriate sections of IEE, ABS, Coast Guard and manufacturer's tech manuals and ship's information book in repairing electrical equipment and installing electrical equipment.
-Provide quality work and Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) as required by the work specifications or assigned by the supervisor.
-Work shifts and overtime as assigned.

Work Tasks Include:
1. Running cables, lines and leads, terminations/connector fabrication, packing of cable transits and harnessing cables aboard vessels.
2. Prepares work area, drills holes, grinds metal surfaces, inspect and reports on cableway and electrical equipment conditions, tests and reports results on electrical equipment.
3. Test internal circuits of major units of electrical equipment for continuity, short circuits, and grounds and measure electrical quantities and compare with established values.
4. Inspect trip shafts, toggle linkages and all other mechanical parts to see that they operate freely without binding.
5. Inspect mechanical and electrical connections including mounting bolts and screws; draw out disconnect devices and control wiring.
6. Detect and locate grounds, open circuits and short circuits in distribution generators and systems. Maintain and repair telephones, circuits, and associated equipment.
7. Install new power and lighting circuits.
8. Must be familiar with all safety procedures pertaining to or where to obtain electrical procedures. Must be very knowledgeable of work/safety procedures and manual.
9. Implement Lock-out Tag-out for work being performed.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
-The working environment in the shipyard varies from a normal office conditions to working outside where precipitation, wind, extreme cold, and extreme heat and high humidity are not unusual. When working inside of vessels the environment may be smoky, hot or cold, and have low levels of illumination may be present.
-There are heavy equipment and power tools operating almost at every location. Depending on the type of work available, reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the job requirements.
-Personnel can expect to work in a variety of spaces from confined areas accessible only by manholes to high platforms accessible only by scaffolding or ladders. Work may also be accomplished using mechanical lifts as working platforms.
-The noise level in the shipyard environment is usually loud, especially inside of vessels. The noise encountered in the shop is generally low to moderate. ---The wearing of appropriate personal protective equipment is mandatory.
-There is always the potential of falling objects and personnel are occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts during work.
-Appropriate --PPE must always be worn.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Must be able to tour all vessels, piers, docks and work sites.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk or hear.
The employee is occasionally required to sit.
SPECIFIC PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
May be required to demonstrate any or all requirements.
1. Lift/push/pull 50 lbs to 100 lbs on an occasional basis (0-33% of the day).
2. Lift/push/pull up to 20 lbs on a frequent basis (34-66% of the day).

2. Isolates defects in wiring, switches, motors, and other electrical equipment, using suitable testing instruments.
