    We are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in Richardson, TX with analog and digital design experience. The Senior Electrical Engineer is a senior position responsible for clean sheet and upgrade electronic solutions across a Circuit Card Assembly. In addition to being cognizant of an individual circuit card design, the Senior Electrical Engineer will mentor less experienced engineers with various backgrounds in circuit card and firmware design providing guidance and support. Products are typically required to comply with various MIL standards including MIL-STD-461. This opportunity is targeted toward engineers who enjoy working in a systems environment as it includes designing multiple electrical elements of a product; interacting with mechanical and software team members; developing PCB and system requirements; and supporting system test teams. Primary Responsibilities: • Researches, develops, design, fabrication, modification, and evaluation of electronic apparatus, components, or circuitry for use in electronic equipment and devices, ensuing work is completed on time and established quality and budgets are achieved. • Prepares engineering drawings or specifications to construct, relocate, or install equipment, facilities, products, or systems. • Prepares documentation including confidential descriptions or specifications of proprietary hardware or software, information on product development, introduction schedules, product costs, and performance weaknesses to track progress and analyze performance. • Performs engineering work and applied research, development, and design of new products to ensure quality standards and business objectives are met • Produces products according to specifications, using the most cost effective and efficient means. • Analyzes and evaluates new or improved electronic components. • Includes power generation, transmission and distribution, rotating machinery, illumination, wire communication systems and servomechanisms. • Includes circuit theory, computer design and development, instrumentation, radio communications, semiconductor devices, solid state devices, and video systems. • Mentor newer engineers in design and development practices. Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of relevant experience OR In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required • Must have a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance within the 2 years. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements. • Experience with pre-CAD circuit design, including schematic capture, power, FPGA resource utilization, background knowledge of PWB stacks ups • Experience in industry design tools, i.e. Xpedition Enterprise, Cadence Allegro, etc. • Experience with mixed signal design. One or more of the following: SoC/FPGAs, A/D Converters, Digital Down Converters, D/A Converters, Digital Waveform Generators, Mixed Signal CCAs, Mixed Signal Modules and Subsystems • Experience with digital hardware design. Plans, schedules, conducts, and coordinates assigned engineering work; monitors work for compliance to applicable FAA/EASA regulations, customer requirements, accepted engineering practices, as well as RECARO standards; ensures effective communication and coordination on assigned projects between all disciplines and all other project participants. Responsible and accountable to ensure that all assigned personnel are coordinating their activities with other project participants and that the requirements of the Contract are being satisfied. On a large project the Project Manager may delegate certain project management responsibilities to the Project Engineer, including day-to-day interaction with the Client's designated representative as well as coordination of all internal activities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned: Coordinates all aspects of the design and certification of aircraft seats. This includes the coordination of designers, design engineers, electrical engineers, certification engineers and product support personnel. Plans, schedules and tracks engineering tasks; provides detailed report to Program and Engineering Management. Summarizes technical customer requirements, communicates this to the team and ensures customer expectations are being met. Responds to concerns of customers by making design changes in seat design and components in a manner that meets customer expectations and are in conformance with applicable regulations. Coordinates design meetings with other project engineers to discuss engineering issues, including design changes and requests from customers. Supports Purchasing and Production by providing bills of materials and documentation to support sourcing of components. Periodically writes Service Bulletins pertaining to modification of fielded seats; coordinates service bulletins approval with airworthiness authorities. Experience in the use of CFR, EASA CS, (E) TSO regulations, as well as the use of parts lists with high variant diversity is desired. Knowledge of PLM based database systems such as Teamcenter, Agile or Enovia is desired. Completes root cause analysis on MRB (Material Review Board) actions, and presents resolutions to the Engineering, Quality and Operations Departments. Interfaces with outside suppliers during the design process. Effectively participates and contributes in telecoms and meetings with the overseas based engineers and program management by applying engineering knowledge, discussing manufacturing issues, and also suggesting potential seat development topics and innovations. Verifies use of appropriate materials according to their usage on the seat using advanced knowledge. Monitor capacity planning and tracking for all engineering tasks on assigned projects. Requirements: Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree required in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering field with 2-7 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced knowledge of manufacturing processes is required. Experience in the design of Aircraft interiors is required. Knowledge about aircraft documentation systems for after sales (CMM, SB) and aircraft configuration control systems is required. A minimum of 2 years' experience in CATIA V5 or similar is required.
