Troubleshooting issues remotely (or locally if needed) and developing standard practices across facilities is a common part of this position. This will include providing front line support to site personnel in regards to SCADA, alarm management, substation physical components, protections and controls, switching procedures and development of maintenance programs. This opportunity may be remote within the US. What you will be doing: Support unplanned outages by retrieving and analyzing relay event files to provide guidance to onsite operational teams and decrease return to service time frames. Troubleshooting and diagnostic testing of devices and systems to resolve alarms and faults. Partner with SMEs and cross-functional teams, as needed, to get equipment back in service in a timely manner. Develop and maintain field equipment reliability procedures. Fire alarm experience is a plus, and Mechanical Engineering is a plus Basic ability to read and draw diagrams in AutoCAD Be able to take a written narrative and work with their software You can look for people who have experience in programming fire alarm, PLC, HVAC controllers, since what they do is similar. 5 year experience is fire alarms would be great, but they could see someone coming from HVAC, or a security background.
