Georgia-Pacific is seeking an Electrical Supervisor (Electrical Crew Leader) for our electrical maintenance team in Brewton, AL. This position is personally responsible for the safety, professional development, training, and productivity of the assigned crew. This individual will optimize maintenance activities, manage using the labor agreement, ensure EHS compliance, and oversee the qualification of employees. The position will assist in prioritizing work with a focus on reliability excellence and personnel safety.

The Brewton Mill produces white top linerboard and solid bleached sulfate (SBS) paperboard. The SBS material is used to make GP's Dixie plates. White top linerboard is used in production of corrugated containers and displays. What You Will Do
• Champion the Asset Maintenance Work Process as it applies to the maintenance crew.
• Assigns and directs daily activities of electrical and instrumentation technicians and ensures shift performance meets work standards.
• Drive safety and compliance excellence through effective work execution, personally modeling safe behaviors, and leading others to work safely.
• Provide leadership, technical support, and direction to assigned Electrical and Instrumentation technicians.
• Communicates expectations to employees and evaluates performance. Addresses underperformance and takes appropriate action.
• Verify and audit standards within the crews for safety, environmental, quality, productivity, training, and cost control.
• Coordinates workflow with operational departments, planners, and engineering team.
• Ensure equipment is kept in optimum operating condition through precision and preventative maintenance.
• Work with high integrity to teach and motivate team in the assigned areas while holding employees accountable for their assignments. Build effective teams.
• Maximize employee value through continued training and progressively assigned responsibilities. Provide guidance to foster individual growth.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Four (4) plus years Supervisory/management experience with responsibility for direct reports in a heavy industrial, manufacturing, or military environment.
• Five (5) or more years of work experience in industrial electrical maintenance.
• Collaborative with an excellent work ethic, positive attitude & the ability to lead a crew of technicians to complete assigned tasks.
• Practical knowledge of troubleshooting and repairing of industrial electrical equipment and systems, including, but not limited to, power distribution equipment (switchgear, breakers, capacitors, load sharing), programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCS) and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
• Experience using Microsoft Office programs such as Word (to write business correspondence), Excel (for use of spreadsheets, reporting, simple formulas) and Outlook (for internal and external correspondence)

Responsible for all aspects of projects including design phase, production of construction plans and specifications, energy calculations and studies, site inspections, and contract administration.
Primary Duties:

This person should have strong client relationships and project management skills, and broad experience in Florida with environment projects including contaminated site restoration, subsurface investigations, and environmental permitting and compliance (air/water/waste).

You will be responsible for designing solid waste facilities that will enable LaBella to create sustainable, cost-effective solutions tailored to the specific needs of our clients. The projects are intricate and incorporate both civil and environmental engineering skills, including land development (grading and stormwater management); leachate collection, treatment, and management; renewable energy designs; and organic waste management. Brand new, already operational, and closed solid waste facilities face many different types of challenges - there is never a dull moment, nor is there a cookie-cutter solution that fits every similar situation.
Duties

Assembly of electrical control panels, junction boxes, and some wire harnesses from prints.
Physical assembly of wiring and testing of control panels for industrial equipment.
Fabricate controls to print, including layout and physical mounting of components to the back panel, wiring of all components, installation of control panel onto equipment, and testing to ensure proper operation. All duties must be performed in accordance with all company policies and procedures.

What we are looking for:
MUST have minimum high school diploma/GED.
MUST have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Must be able to work full-time hours, with the possibility of unusual scheduled hours as needed, along with overtime hours as needed, sometimes on short notice.
Travel may be needed, including international travel.
Must be able to gain clearance to enter government work sites.
Good mechanical and electrical skills, along with experience in troubleshooting and repairing electrical equipment.
Knowledge of electrical wiring practices, and the ability to read cable and wire color codes to place wires with precision and hook-up required.
Must be able to read blueprints, schematic diagrams, and use electrical test equipment.
Working knowledge of test equipment. Must have the ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
Must comprehend written and verbal instructions and hear warning signals, read, and comprehend safety instructions, regulations, and warnings.
Knowledge of basic safety standards with the ability to learn codes and regulations associated with fire protection.
Effective customer service and communication skills.
Detail oriented and strong problem-solving skills.
Proficient in the use of computer programs such as Word, Excel, & Outlook, and the ability to work on tablet/phone-based applications.
Good time-management skills.
The ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
A high standard of quality and attention to detail.
Physical Requirements
While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands or arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and is occasionally required to lift and/or move heavy objects
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Comfortable working in various environments, including industrial facilities, commercial buildings and outdoor settings, which can potentially expose employees to noise, dust, heat stress, thermal stress, low light conditions, heights, etc.
Capable of standing, walking, bending and kneeling for extended periods
Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces as needed, which would require use of fall protection equipment and other safety devices
Capable of using hand and power tools, including specialty tools resulting in cutting, grinding, drilling, fastening and other methods resulting in torque, vibration, noise, etc.
