Assembler Advanced “Electrical Test Tech” (Franklin WI) Hours 1st Shift Monday - Thursday 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM Overtime 2 or 3 Fridays a month In this job you will perform a variety of assembly and test positions for IntelliRupter and Power Quality products. You will work in a production environment, engage in continuous productive activity, and must meet requirements within time constraints. Considerable initiative required to run and process all IntilliRupter units through test and assembly cells, a fast paced multi station process. Tasks require a high degree of eye-hand coordination, manual dexterity, and the use of both hands and arms on a repetitive basis for a full range of motion. You will frequently use hand and power tools; occasionally work while standing on ladders; and occasionally work inside tight compartments. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following: Assemble and test IntelliRupter products based on the documentation including bills of material, blueprints and any change notices provided by the engineering staff. Complete testing at timing stations and run switch through 4 operations station. Complete mechanical work including disconnect assemblies. Experience troubleshooting electrical issues You will be performing the following tests: Timing Test capacitor voltage 425 DC Partial Discharge Test AC voltage 50KV Dielectric test 3 phase AC voltage 60KV-70KV Calibration test parallel AC voltage 8.7KV-18KV in series 600 amps. 3 phase AC high voltage 8.7KV -18KV with 20 amps - 45 amps. Low voltage test capacitor voltage 425 DC To select this job as one of interest to you, at a minimum, you must have the following: High voltage electrical experience is required to run the required test cells. 5KV / 3phase Demonstrate the ability to work from complex blueprints, wiring drawings, schematic diagrams, and specifications. Demonstrate knowledge and experience to troubleshoot mechanical or electrical issues. Demonstrate experience using and operating machining tools, hand-held tools, wiring equipment, wrenches, torque tools, and other tools. Must follow all S&C safety standards. Relevant Work Experience: Two years of experience in electrical testing & trouble shotting with 5KV2 year technical degree preferred. Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, ~8:30am to 5:00pm Responsible for performing a wide variety of research and development laboratory tasks and experiments, focused on electrical testing and prototyping. Will develop and maintain record keeping for experiments performed. Required to make detailed observations of tests, analyze data, and interpret results. Will maintain medical device laboratory equipment and inventory level of laboratory supplies. Will document summaries of testing and may write test protocols and reports. May support troubleshooting and root cause analysis activities. May be assigned routine assembly and testing portions of projects (e.g. product performance and software script testing). May support the prototyping and rework of medical devices, including mechanical and electrical activities. Additional Details: Initial project will support a PCB design update and will involve swapping components on a PCB, swapping PCBs, and lots of troubleshooting. High School diploma or equivalent, AA degree is strongly preferred. 1+ years experience in an electro-mechanical laboratory environment. Perform work with minimum supervision and have the ability to prioritize tasks. Must have good interpersonal, communication (both written & verbal), ability to create detailed documentation, and problem-solving skills. Basic computer skills such as word processing, data entry, and e-mail. Experience with testing in a laboratory or production environment. Top 3-5 Must Have Non-negotiable Skills Required:1. Ensure the continued functioning of electrical equipment by its proper installation, maintenance, and repair. Work as part of a team to improve plant reliability and efficiency. Daily communication with the Maintenance Supervisor and Maintenance Planner to improve plant reliability. Responsibilities: Installs, troubleshoots, repairs, maintains, and demos the electrical parts of industrial equipment and facilities Provide safe, reliable and efficient operation by observing the local, state, and national electrical-code regulations that pertain to the work being done Log time and material usage into CMMS for PMs and corrective maintenance Assists in supporting the company's preventative maintenance program Maintain proper housekeeping in all areas Assist in other areas of plant maintenance as required All other duties as assigned Basic Qualifications: Display skills equivalent to that of a Journeyman Electrician; Specifically, but not limited to: Installing and repairing electrical components such as electrical panels, breakers, wiring systems, and controls Bending and installing conduit Pulling wire for installs Installing an array of fixtures Threading and installing hanging anchors Cleaning circuit boards and contacts Willing to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lift heavy objects, climbing ladders, crawling, etc. Electrical troubleshooting knowledge Ability to understand schematics, blueprints, and other technical documents Knowledgeable in pertinent electrical codes and regulations Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers at all levels Must exemplify the ability to work with minimal supervision.
