Pros of working at Summit Materials

My co-workers. Being in the Union, I have better benefits and better pay and my Union brothers aren't trying to stab me in the back.

Cons of working at Summit Materials

Senior leadership is an absolute joke. They can nothing about the employees. Upper management at is not much better. This is a typical corporation that thinks of its employees as just numbers. They look at ways to take benefits away every chance they can. They just took away two holidays, for absolutely no reason. The benefits are already terrible. Work here, if you must, to get a little experience, and move on as quickly as you can, before they can find an excuse to fire you.
