    of Warehouse Associate will be located in our Anchorage, AK location! The Warehouse Associate is responsible for efficiently and accurately filling customer orders, receiving, stocking, staging, and shipping material in a manner that meets company standards for safety, security, accuracy, and productivity. Responsible for all warehouse transactions, as well as the upkeep and maintenance of the branch warehouse environment and equipment. What You'll Do Contributes to a culture and environment focused daily on employee safety and a safe work environment. Follows established Standard Operating Procedures, Environmental Health and Safety Rules, and immediately addresses safety concerns Receives material coming into the building by vendors, customers, or other warehouses. Verifies the quantity and description of materials received by checking merchandise against the packing list Keeps incoming orders stocked on shelves orderly and in designated area and reports freight damage claims Prepares branch orders from the warehouse and ensures that the correct number and type of product is being shipped Processes paperwork regarding shipments including but not limited to; verifying that the merchandise to be shipped is correct, applying the correct postage tape and label, following customer shipping instructions and, insuring the shipment when necessary Operates machinery including forklift, reach truck, and wire cutting machine when required Loads common carrier and company vehicles Inspects and performs minor maintenance on equipment Performs inventory counts and reconciles any discrepancies Makes deliveries to branches/customers as needed Assists with other warehouse or branch duties as needed Other duties as assigned The information contained in this job description is intended to describe the essential job functions required of those assigned to this job. Serve as driver, doing truck deliveries and transfers safely delivering products to customers as assigned following all rules of the road. Maintain the vehicles and other equipment used by bringing maintenance issues to the attention of the manager as needed. Maintain and keep current all documentation related to position as a driver, such as vehicle registrations, driver's license, and driver physicals. Fuel Truck as necessary. Place delivered stock on customer shelves as required following all delivery instructions. Safely load and unload trucks and check-in delivered product, and stock shelves. Pull customer Will Call orders from warehouse shelves. Maintain a neat and clean warehouse, i.e., empty trash, sweep floors and cleanup work area. Always exercise safety and adhere to company safety policies and procedures. Always contribute professionally to the efforts of the branch. Work with all department staff to ensure all deadlines are met. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Read paperwork and accurately fill customer orders. Use and become certified on forklift and other lifting equipment. Ability to use hand truck, pallet jacks and wrap pallets. Multi-task and meet established deadlines. Communicate with customers and employees in a friendly and professional manner. Effectively organize and prioritize skills. Effectively work as a part of a team Prior knowledge of plumbing products and supplies helpful. Acceptable driving record - per Company insurance underwriter Read a map and find customer locations for delivery. Must be at least 21 years of age. Operate in a drug-free workplace.
