Our City Driver will successfully operate various tractor-trailer combinations between company service centers and customer facilities or work sites within the domicile service center geographic service area. RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Ability to complete the various forms utilized in freight movement such as shipping orders, city stripping manifests, freight bills, overage/damage movement reports and exception forms.
· Operate vehicle safely within DOT regulations that govern safe driving, hours of service, inspection, maintenance, and transportation of hazardous materials.
· Transport self and/or freight continuously throughout the service center on non-forgiving surfaces.
· Perform customer service interaction when on customer work sites to ensure they are getting the services completed to their standard and to Daylight's expectations. Doing so in a friendly and professional manner.
· Ability to be flexible in order to meet customer needs when routes need to be adjusted or changed.
· Provide routing feedback to Operations Manager/Supervisor/Coordinator to be most efficient as well as giving the customer the best service possible.
· Ability to strategically plan for customer needs by discussing their pickup and delivery needs, so the customer's current and future needs are satisfied and served with excellence.
· Perform all work duties in a safe manner in accordance with Daylight and DOT safety standards to ensure no accidents or injuries.
