Brief Description of Position: •Performs a daily safety check on the bus before driving and assists in maintaining the bus in a clean and safe operating condition. •Drives bus daily over designated routes, picking up and discharging students in accordance with time schedules. •Escorts pupils across street and roads as necessary and required. •Transports students and instructors on special trips to various locations according to a planned schedule. •Sees that all laws and regulations as set forth by the Education Code, the Department of Motor Vehicles and the Board of Trustees are met. •General maintenance of school facilities from a prepared schedule including general cleaning of school facilities (sweeping, dusting, removing cobwebs; scrubbing, waxing, polishing and cleaning windows, door glass, metalwork, concrete, linoleum, tile and wood floors; vacuums/shampoos rugs and carpets). •Does minor construction work on buildings, including painting, cement work, etc. •Waters shrubs and lawn, weeds and maintains small lawn and flower areas. •Makes minor repairs to sprinklers. •Other related duties as assigned.
