Ensure vehicle has been fueled, oiled and inspected before departure time.
Visually inspect vehicle prior to each trip for any needed repairs or maintenance and, as able, make small repairs. Record all inspections and repairs in vehicle log book.
Responsible for regular, basic maintenance, upkeep and cleanliness of vehicles and trailers. Coordinate larger maintenance needs, as approved or directed by supervisor, with local suppliers.
Assist with take-out process. May include directing guests, laying out tarps for rafts, preparing straps on the roof or trailer, and other duties necessary to expedite the take-out.
Communicate with the area manager about any problems that may arise including any cooperation issues with other guides, problems that may be the result of guides not fulfilling their duties as these relate or interfere with safe or efficient fulfillment of bus driver duties.
Assist with other aspects of trip operation as-needed and directed by supervisor.
Responsible for providing superlative guest service with a ācan doā attitude, for interacting with and responding to ROW employees and guests in a professional, helpful manner.

Role Statement
To drive delivery truck with the capacity of 3 or more tons to transport materials to and from specified destinations. Deliveries are to be done safely and within the State and Federal guidelines.
Location
This position will be performed onsite at our store. Remote work is not available for this role.
Outcomes for Success
Load, deliver, and unload materials as a service to customers.
Prevent damage and ensure customer satisfaction.
Operate various types of equipment and vehicles in a safe and professional manner.
Report vehicles and equipment needing service and repair.
Maintain necessary trip logs, vehicle inspection reports and other required documentation.
Drive truck to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations, knowledge of the roads in the area and being aware of hazardous conditions.
Verify load against shipping papers.
Prepare receipts for load picked up and for returns.
Assist in keeping the yard clean and orderly. Report any unsafe conditions.
Assist in building loads, as required.
Develop an understanding of basic products and commodities.
Maintain telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions.

Requirements
Must be 21 years of age or older.

Drivers must meet state requirements, including having a valid driver's license with a CDL endorsement of class A or B with air brake endorsement.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Be 21 years old or older
High school diploma or GED
Have a minimum of three years driving experience
Possess or be able to obtain a valid state driver's license with appropriate endorsements (CDL-B with air restriction removed; passenger endorsement and āSā endorsement)
Reimbursement will be provided for the cost of obtaining a CDL.
Meet the physical and mental standards as set forth by the Department of Licensing necessary to perform duties, tasks, and responsibilities of a school bus driver
Possess or be able to obtain and maintain a current First Aid/CPR card
Take and pass a drug and alcohol test as required by the school district and federal requirements
Sufficient strength and agility to assist ill or physically impaired students and all other students in evacuating an overturned bus

ESSENTIAL JOB RELATED ACTIVITIES:
Attend and satisfactorily complete required bus driver training course and evaluation
Operate a school bus in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington and policies established by the state and School District
Drive a school bus on a scheduled route and/or all types of trips in support of district approved activities, both within and outside the school district
Operate all hand and foot controls installed in a school bus as required by Washington State (minimum) school bus specifications
Operate and service all school bus equipment and accessories including but not limited to fire extinguishers, highway warning kits, chains, sanders, first aid kits, etc.
Clean, inspect and service the school bus and related equipment as required by the state and district policy to include but not limited to interior and exterior sweeping and washing, fueling, checking oil, coolant, tire inflation etc.
Perform required operational and safety inspections of school buses and all related equipment daily
Legible and accurate completion of forms, records, and reports as required by the state and/or school district including but not limited to: time sheets, trip logs, trouble reports, misconduct and accident reports, and others as may be required.
Attend all trainings and information meetings as required.
Perform basic first aid/CPR as needed and appropriate
Maintain control of student passengers as related to safety

Performance Responsibilities:

* Instructs students and teachers in emergency bus evacuation procedures and conducts drills twice a year.
3. Instructs students in proper bus conduct.
4. Reports misconduct on bus through established district procedures.
5. Operates two-way radio as needed.
6. Conducts pre-trip and post-trip bus inspection to insure that all parts are operating and the bus is safe.
7. Fuels the bus as needed.
