Each year, DNRC seeks hundreds of dedicated individuals to help protect Montana wildlands from wildfire. These seasonal, temporary firefighting jobs are offered statewide throughout DNRC Units. Employment is generally 3-6 months with work beginning as early as May and ending in late September with the potential to begin as early as April and run as late as October depending on fire activity. Small family-owned company in Helena, MT. All runs start in Helena, but drivers may live in other Montana locales. (Many of our drivers have lived in Billings, Great Falls or Bozeman) Mostly 4-5 day runs, 1 drop, 1 pick, home weekly. Repetitive runs for dedicated customers in lower 48 states, primarily midwest. Excellent equipment. Competitive Wage DOE, plus Fuel mileage bonus, safety bonus and retention pay. Great benefits, including Health insurance after 90 days and paid vacation and 401k matching after 1 year. Must have at least two years OTR/CDL A driving experience, or 200,000 miles experience.
