Report to bus garage before scheduled departure time to check with dispatcher for any changes in normal duties or student passenger changes.
Perform DOT required pre-trip inspection and complete a radio check before starting each route.
Pick-up students at assigned stops, ensuring children safely board the bus and are seated before proceeding to the next stop.
Enforce rules for proper discipline during ride. Report to Site Manager any student who refuses to cooperate in observing safety rules. Report of any serious incident and communicate with the Site Manager so matter can be discussed with school authorities.
Safely operate the bus by following all traffic laws, state and federal transit regulations. Carefully navigates roads, watch for ice, debris or slippery stops. Follow safety procedures to ensure that they and all students are safe.
Check the bus upon arrival at the bus garage to ensure that there is no child left on the bus.
Transport students and school district authorized passengers to field trips, sporting events and other activities.
Report accidents immediately to the Site Manager and promptly completes the accident report.
Properly maintain the bus by keeping fuel levels above half a tank or filled up after the completion of a trip. Sweep and clean the interior of the bus after each trip, or as needed or at least once a week. Alert office staff of maintenance needs.
Other Functions
Attend meetings, in-service training, workshops, etc. for the purpose of gathering information required to perform job functions.
Perform other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the vehicle.

Upon arriving on jobsite, the driver must be able to safely maneuver truck in often very unstable ground conditions. Safe observations of customer's equipment and conditions.
Driver will add necessary ingredients such as fibers, chemical, foam admixtures, cements, or integral colors at plant or jobsite, as well as other products.
Pursuant to customer needs, driver will place chutes from fender or hanging rack onto the main chute at the rear of truck for discharge. Upon completion of discharge, driver will wash the chutes in washout system or other appropriate location as directed by contractor and put back in appropriate location on truck.
Prior to leaving jobsite, driver is responsible for completing all paperwork and collection of moneys if necessary.
Upon completion of each shift, driver will wash truck with hose and brush, including the use of cleaning solution when necessary.

Feed Truck Driver
Driver Job 6 miles from Fairmont
The feed truck driver is responsible for accurate and timely delivery of feed to the appropriate sites while ensuring compliance with all Department of Transportation (DOT) rules and regulations. This feed truck driver would be for second shift - with the shift starting between 12-2pm, based on the needs of the department.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide safe and accurate delivery of feed to sow, nursery, finish or wean to finish site as designated on the daily truck schedules
• Follow directions, meeting deadlines and adhering to daily schedules.
• Comply with all related environmental and transportation standards, laws and guidelines.
• Perform vehicle care and maintenance:
• Manufacture feed utilizing computer program
• Wash trucks as scheduled and maintain clean vehicles.
• Complete vehicle inspection prior to the shift and reporting any repairs needed to be made
• Care and inventory of all tools and equipment assigned to the driving unit.
• Drive with the standards set by management:
Follow all highway regulations, (i.e. speed limits, yields, stops, no passing zones, etc.)
Drive at 5-10 mph below the posted speed limits in all towns.
No jake breaking in town.
Always drive with headlights on.
Always wear seatbelts.
No riders/passengers unless it is a Hugoson Pork, Inc., employee and has been authorized.
Be courteous on the road.
Respect the producers' properties
Respect the equipment/trucks
Do not operate cell phone while driving
• Assist in other areas of the mill as requested
• Repair minor damage to feed bins and equipment
• Keep accurate, easy-to-read records including log books, feed delivered to sow units and producers, trip reports, vehicle inspection sheet, etc.
• Assist with maintaining cleanliness, neatness and safety of work area and building
• Follow all safety rules and practices and encourage coworkers to do the same.
• Perform all other activities and responsibilities as defined by management
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• A high school diploma or equivalent
• One to two-years' experience is preferred
• Must provide proof of insurance
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and insurable driving record
• The successful candidate must meet all Motor Vehicle and Hugoson Pork Insurer requirements and possess a desirable driving record.
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
• Must have a clean driving record. Computer and mechanical skills are required.
• Effective problem solving, multi-tasking, communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be cooperative, responsible, reliable, motivated, able to work as a team, able to work well with little supervision and possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• CDL preferred but not required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Individuals must be capable of walking, stooping, climbing, bending, performing repetitive motions and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of up to 50 pounds with reasonable accommodation or assistance from another team member.
• Ability to follow directions and read maps
• Ability to work in noise levels that may require hearing protection
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to work in a highly interruptive environment
• Must possess ambulatory skills sufficient to move throughout the farm
• Must possess good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp
• Must be able to effectively drive for extended periods of time
• Specific vision abilities required are close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
