We are looking for RELIABLE hourly assembler employees for our Henderson operations.
Primary Function:
Perform any one of various related and repetitive axle, housing, head, brake or other related assembly, or subassembly and final assembly operation connected with primarily truck and heavy duty tandem or straight axle housings, air shift assemblies and Central Tire Inflation Systems as assigned or directed.
Specific Duties/Responsibilities:
In accordance with production schedules, manpower requirements and other factors, work at an assigned assembly line station or bench, usually in standing position, to perform most duties.
Work from verbal instructions, written instructions, tabulation sheets, parts lists, and other forms to select parts, verify part numbers and perform operations in proper sequence.
Use hoists or other manual aids to lift, move or transport parts and subassemblies and to slide work on benches and lines; Occasionally stock own work areas. Use dial gauges, protractors, various hand tools and hammers, electric and air driven equipment such as stud drivers, nut runners, presses, screwdrivers, grinders and deburrers. Make use of jigs, fixtures, and other holding devices to position and hold work as indicated. Use oils, greases, paints and sealants.
Press fit bearings, shafts and cylinders. Build-up and align pinions, gears, air shift assemblies, heads and housings involving use of shims, spacers, pins, gaskets, wire seals, rings and fittings. Hand torque studs, bolts and fittings and adjust to tolerances; Assemble and disassemble storage racks hand stamp or tag parts; Assemble cams, brake shoes, springs, covers, air chambers and axles. Perform other repetitive or routine operations.
Perform visual inspection of parts prior to assembly; detect and report any defective parts and materials, equipment malfunctions or assembly difficulties to proper supervision. Maintain work area and equipment in prescribed manner. Observe safety regulations and assist in elimination safety hazards. Assist and train others as necessary.
MUST Be flexible to work overtime as needed; when overtime is needed, it is 2 or 4 hours during the week and up to 8 hours on Saturday or Sunday
