BASIC FUNCTION: Under the supervision of the assigned Dean, the Disabled Students Programs and Services (DSP&S) Counselor will assist with the implementation of services for students with disabilities to participate fully in their planning and participation in postsecondary education. The Counselor may be required to teach specialized classes, provide workshops, and maintain student files and other duties requiring access and or accommodations for students. The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) provides consultation, training, conducts behavioral evaluations, develops and implements Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programmatic therapeutic services, and develops behavior intervention plans for individuals with developmental disabilities and behavioral deficits. Work closely with the individuals participating in A.A. Living Opportunities programs to assist in achieving and maintaining their goals on their Individual Service Plans. Major Areas of Responsibility: Transport individuals to medical, dental, social activities, and other appointments.
