The primary function of a Designer IV is to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient design and delivery of drawings from conception to Issued-For-Construction status. This role will have a discipline focus of Piping/Mechanical and will lead the related As-Built and Walk-down efforts to ensure drawing accuracy supporting safety, operability, and regulatory compliance. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: * Assist and learn under the direction of Sprinkler Technician Journeymen in the following: * Install pipe systems and valves * Cut, thread, assemble and bond pipes and tubes according to specifications * Modify, clean and maintain pipe systems, units and fittings * Remove and replace worn components. * Learn to follow blueprints to meet product specifications. * Learn how to calculate material measurements to verify specifications. * Learn proper installation techniques. * Other duties may be assigned.
