About the Company - Ring & DuChateau, a team of over 90 engineers, designers, technicians, and support staff dedicated to engineering design excellence, is seeking a Senior Civil Utility Design Engineer to join our Utility and Energy Practice Center. This position is available in Brookfield, WI, or Madison, WI. We are looking for an experienced professional with at least 10 years of experience in civil utility design engineering.
About the Role - In this position you will:
Lead the production of civil engineering designs for site development or redevelopment in various sectors, including energy and utilities, higher education, medical, science and technology, commercial, hospitality, and public facilities.
Collaborate closely with civil engineers, site design professionals, and permitting specialists to ensure successful project outcomes.
Prepare comprehensive civil engineering designs, including project plan and specification production, utility system layout and analysis, site grading, erosion control plans, and other site-related features.
Manage client relationships and project management responsibilities to ensure client satisfaction and project success.
Oversee project scoping, contracting, and the production of construction plans and specifications.
Apply a solid understanding of wastewater and sewer system engineering design to projects.
Utilize knowledge of water supply and main system engineering design in project execution.
Responsibilities - You will need to have:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or a related field.
At least 10 years of experience in civil utility design engineering.
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
Ability to travel overnight as needed for team meetings, client consultations, on-site inspections/visits, etc.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS, and Microsoft Office applications.
Extensive experience serving as a design engineer or project manager for multiple public and/or private utility infrastructure projects.
Proven project management, design, and construction administration experience in Civil/Municipal projects, including site improvements, streets, drainage, and utilities.
Experience in project scheduling, cost estimating, preparing project plans, specifications, and bidding documents.
Demonstrated experience in project proposal preparation and client service management.
