We are seeking a Mid-level Mechanical HVAC Engineer to support a variety of K-12, healthcare, and higher education projects. This role involves performing renovations and ensuring that all work is done in accordance with building codes and good engineering practices. The position will support all markets that LaBella serves (K12 Education, Higher Education, Healthcare, Corporate, Multi-Family, Sports & Entertainment and Commercial project) and will allow for a wide range of experience as they grow as a designer. Duties Designers are expected to understand the design process and support projects teams through all phases. Support the development of programming and space planning during Schematic Design. Participate in field measurements, verifications, and scanning technology of existing conditions. Create 3D models for presentation and construction documentation. Support the development of floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, interior elevations, custom millwork, detailing, schedules, and finish documents from Design Development through Construction Documentation. Support in the selection and application of interior finishes and materials. Develop presentations that include precedent imagery, 2D and 3D renderings, and animations. Be familiar with manufacturer's sales representatives, maintain the material library, and sample ordering. Assist in client meetings and presentations. Work under the mentorship of a Senior Interior Designer or Architect. General understanding public health and safety codes including accessibility and environmental guidelines. Occasionally, travel will be required. Requirements Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design from a 4 - year CIDA accredited interior design program. Minimum of zero 0 to 1 year of related experience required, can include internship. Additional applicable certifications and degrees are encouraged. Advanced proficiency in Revit, Sketch Up and Adobe Creative Suite and experience with AutoCAD. Have strong written and verbal communication skills - good presentation and people skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively. Work quickly, effectively, efficiently and within project timelines.
