Ensures the most efficient delivery of dental services in a safe and caring environment for all clients. Ensures adherence by all dental staff to HIPAA standards and requirements. Records all examinations, treatment plans, procedures and other dental services performed for patients by Dentist in EMR platform. The electronic dental record shall contain sufficient information to identify the patient, support the diagnosis, justify the treatment, document the course and results, facilitate appropriate charges and facilitate continuity of care among health care providers. Counsels patients regarding problems and course of treatment. Accesses patient-protected health information as needed. Performs other duties as assigned. Supports and models the identified vision, values, and behaviors of the organization. Qualifications Required Skills/Abilities: Proficient in preventative and restorative dental treatment procedures. Knowledge of the principles and practices of modern dentistry and its application, techniques, procedures, and equipment. Demonstrate strong leadership skills and qualities. Education and Experience: Active and unrestricted license to practice dentistry issued by the California Board of Dental Examiners; DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school; Current Controlled Substances Registration Certification issued by the Drug Enforcement Administration; Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross accredited BLS certification.
