This position reports to the Dental Clinic Manager and the Associate Dean of Dental Programs and is a non-exempt, hourly, position. * Perform dental procedures for clinic patients consistent with industry, regulatory and college standards * Provide traditional and expanded function learning experiences for students in a team environment with other college staff * Work with college staff to provide high quality, cost effective dental care to patients; identify comprehensive dental care needs, develop treatment plans, make referrals, maintain accurate records, etc. * Assist with student evaluation and patient education * Work with college staff to coordinate clinic operations and contribute to program goals and objectives * Regular and satisfactory attendance and punctuality * Perform other related duties similar in scope and complexity * Graduation from an accredited school of Dentistry * Current Washington State Dental License * Ability to facilitate communication and interaction with instructional staff and students * Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations applicable to dentistry * Ability to interact with diverse student populations * Knowledge of the role and duties of dental assistants and hygienists * Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with people from diverse backgrounds and with diverse needs * Two years clinical practice experience and/or dental teaching experience preferred * Experience working with a dental assistant using four-handed dentistry techniques * Due to the diversity of the college population, we encourage applicants who are multilingual Required Online Application Materials * Online application * Current resume * Cover letter * Responses to the supplemental questions included in the online application process To be considered for a position you MUST submit a complete online application form, resume, cover letter, responses to the supplemental questions included in the online application process.
