POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Tier 1 Registered Dental Assistant, you are responsible for providing assistance to the dentist or hygienist, contributing to their efficiency and productivity. This role involves preparing and organizing treatment rooms for scheduled procedures, as well as cleaning, decontaminating, and sterilizing instruments. Additionally, the assistant is tasked with setting up trays, taking radiographs and accurately recording treatment information in the patient charts.
What You Will Do
Ensures the treatment room is fully stocked, sterilized, and set up, consistently meeting C3 compliance standards to ensure operational readiness and patient safety within 15 minutes before each appointment.
Ensures patients are ready for dental treatment by welcoming, comforting, seating, and draping them, resulting in a 100% satisfaction rate in patient preparation and comfort within 5 minutes of the patient's arrival.
Collaborates with other clinical staff to maintain the cleanliness and organization of lab and treatment rooms and ensures C5 compliance.
Ensures all treatment consent forms are signed and on file daily upon seating the patient before starting treatment.
Reviews and updates patient records in compliance with documentation standards
Accurately charts procedures, treatment plans, medical/dental history, patient condition and any patient comments in their records.
Ensure all x-rays are up to date, clear, clinically accurate, and correctly labeled, achieving 100% compliance with radiographic standards and zero delays in patient care by the start of each day's procedures.
Performs coronal polishing procedures, flossing and applying fluoride as directed.
Reinforces treatment recommendations and educates patients on recommended procedures.
Maintains up-to-date periodontal charting, notifying the hygienist when needed.
Coordinates the office recall system with the hygienist, to ensure future appointments are scheduled before the patient leaves the operatory, 95% completion for all patients being scheduled for re-care if required.
Maintains accurate records of all lab cases and conducts daily quality checks on lab work as received and marks quality checked.
Assists the team in cleaning the office (trash, floors, restrooms, instruments, etc.).
Maintains patient confidentiality and protects operational integrity by ensuring the security and confidentiality of information.
Protects patients and staff by following infection-control policies and protocols.
Attend all required daily huddles and monthly team meetings unless approved by your leader.
Other duties as assigned by Lead RDA or Ops Leader.

! As a Dental Assistant you will be responsible to provide a range of clinical procedures and staff support in a full range of dental operational services. The Dental Assistant will assist in the performance of dental and radiological procedures.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists the dentist using four-handed-dentistry. Assist the dentist with patient management to include: instrument transfer, isolation, oral evacuation, retraction, and preparation of dental instruments and materials to include mixing filling and impression materials; charting examination and treatment results on patient's dental records.
Maintains autoclave, ultrasonic and other equipment as necessary. Maintains appropriate logs in accordance with maintenance.
Ensures monitoring logs for all infection control items are correctly completed. Maintains log of lab cases and reviews as needed.
Prepares, sterilizes, organizes and set-up dental operatory and instruments according to Dental Department OSHA manual guidelines.
At initial seating, ensures vital signs and medical history is reviewed and documented. Instructs the patient on oral hygiene, nutritional counseling and post-operative instructions, as needed. Ensures the patient receives verbal education and any post-operative homecare prior to dismissal.

POSITION OVERVIEW
As an Oral Surgery Assistant, you will play a key role in assisting oral surgeons during surgical procedures and providing support to patients before, during, and after surgery.
