Individuals will gain further knowledge and training to operate specialized equipment to perform specific tasks in relation to golf course maintenance. May have progressive move up potential. Experience in the industry is a plus but not necessary to obtain employment. Specific Job Responsibilities: Perform all functions and routine golf course maintenance related activities at one work location. Assist in ensuring the maintenance facility, equipment and tools are clean, organized, and safe and report any deficiencies to management. Participate in training related to proper equipment operation and safety procedures required to perform each task. Job / Skill Requirements: 1 year of landscape maintenance or greenkeeping preferred. Team player with a strong work ethic and positive attitude. Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment. Ability to carry out detailed written or verbal instructions. Have a valid driver's license and be able to operate a motor vehicle. Must be able to work some weekends and holidays, overtime, and be flexible with changes as requested. Ability to work outdoors for long periods of time in varying weather conditions with potential exposure to inclement weather. Ability to perform heavy physical labor. May be required to work in an environment that includes such activities as bending, lifting, stooping, kneeling, climbing, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and grasping for up to 5 hours without sitting.
