The intern will also travel to two major events in Houston and Waco (March 28th - 30th and July 19th - 21st), where they will handle event setup, email marketing, social media management, and other on-site responsibilities. This role contributes directly to the TRA's mission of empowering Texas' restaurant industry and workforce through strategic marketing and event engagement. DUTIES: General Duties and Requirements: Work in the Austin office with a hybrid schedule (20-25 hours per week, depending on project needs) Design marketing materials using Canva Collaborate with and report directly to the Marketing Manager Adobe Creative Suite proficiency is a plus, but not required Manage and update content on TRA and show websites Social Media Marketing Requirements: Create social media content for all platforms using Canva and TRA imagery Schedule posts on Facebook and Instagram using Agorapulse, and manage content via Meta Business Suite Compile and generate monthly social media performance reports Oversee social media posting, monitoring, and engagement during events Email Marketing Requirements: Leverage Mailchimp to manage email marketing Develop email campaign content for event attendees and exhibitors Collaborate with four metro offices to design and distribute email campaigns for TRA Chapters as needed EDUCATION: Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
