Essential Functions:
Meets regularly with the Director of Billing, Collections and Payer Relations.
Proficient in documenting receipt, payment and reconciliation of referral testing vendor invoices.
Creates, maintains and utilizes a standardized process for applying charges to miscellaneous referred testing in Millennium.
Performs regular audits to ensure accurate invoice charges are occurring for built orderable referred testing.
Creates, maintains and utilizes a record keeping system for all related documents for referred testing and associated vendor laboratories.
Ensures that all referred test charges are applied appropriately, accurately, and in a timely fashion.
Communicates any incorrect charges, invoicing errors or other related concerns to the Referral Testing Supervisor or Lead immediately upon discovery.
Submits the reconciled invoices in a timely manner to Accounts Payable for payment.
Withholds any questionable charges until clarified and reconciled with the referral vendor.
Creates, maintains and utilizes a process for review of Referral Testing charges. Works with IT to enhance current reports or create future tools.
Develops and maintains written procedures for all involved processes.
Assists in development of billing related procedures.
Maintains files.
Establishes and maintains optimal relationships and open and effective communication with all peers, managers and customers.
