    The Adult Services Specialist is responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating adult programming, activities, and services. Responsibilities include planning and running a regular schedule of adult programs and activities that will interest and engage adults in our community. This position works with homebound, elderly, and disabled community members who are unable to come to the library. Helps these patrons find and select materials of interest and delivers the materials to them. Picks up finished materials and tracks patron's reading lists and interests. This position also oversees the library's large print collection, including selection, ordering, and weeding. SUPERVISION RECEIVED/EXERCISED: * Works under the immediate supervision of the Library Director. * May assign tasks to Library Clerks, work-study personnel, shelvers, and volunteers as needed. SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS * This full-time position works 40 hours a week, and the schedule can be either: * Monday through Thursday 10:30 am through 9:00 pm (four ten-hour days). * Monday through Thursday 12:30 pm through 9:00 pm and Friday 9:30 am to 6:00 pm (five eight-hour days). * Flexibility to adjust schedule when needed for circulation desk coverage, holidays, and library programs.
