Role & Responsibilities:
We are seeking a Clean Room Technician for an exciting space exploration company which would be a great opportunity for someone with experience in manufacturing and chemical handling to further their career with a great company.
· Clean and passivate hardware using means such as chemical, mechanical, ultrasonic, and precision cleaning methods
· Handle hardware using overhead cranes, hoists, and other lifting equipment
· Titrate and use other direct measurement methods to analyze and correct CPV lab solvent/chemical systems
· Inspect hardware using various methods
· Perform maintenance and calibration of equipment such as pumps, tanks, filtration systems, scales, etc
Essential Qualifications:
· 1+ years of experience in manufacturing/laboratory settings working with chemicals or
having had experience in cross contamination environments
· Strong attention to detail
· Comfortable wearing PPE
· Computer proficiency
Bonus Qualifications:
· Aerospace experience
· Forklift or crane experience
· Experience using tools like micrometers, calipers, and torque wrenches

About the Department
The Bellevue College (BC) Custodial Services Department within Campus Operations supports the College's primary mission by cleaning and maintaining internal and external areas of all College Facilities and other assets. The department works in compliance with local, state and federal laws and agencies by following BC's policies, follows and maintains safety procedures and follow-up Campus Operations program on accidents and safety prevention techniques. The department also follows APPA's Operational Guidelines as well as continuously improves work methods, knowledge of equipment, supplies and safety through participation in routine training sessions.
Essential Functions
Support and lead cleanliness of BC facilities
* Maintains assigned area in a clean and safe condition according to BC's procedures.
* Assigns, instructs and checks the work of others regularly.
* Train and refresh cleaning practices and equipment usage.
* Will cover other runs in accordance to need resulting from absentee, emergency clean up or other work-related needs of the Bellevue College's internal and external facilities.
* Support the Campus Operations Department crews and the various departments, vendors and/or visitors in accordance to need.
Perform custodial tasks
* Cleans various buildings, offices, rooms, labs, common areas, cleans and sanitizes showers and restrooms.
* Sweeps, mops, vacuums, scrubs, waxes and polishes floors, walls and woodwork, shampoo carpets dusts furniture and equipment; empties wastebaskets, trash, recycle and compost containers.
* Polishes furniture, metal fixtures; washes windows.
* Operates machinery necessary to perform job including vacuum cleaners, blowers, scrubbers, upholstery cleaners, buffing machines, water extractors, carpet shampooers, pressure washers.
Facilitates trainings, report problems and support BC events
* Instructs the custodial personnel in proper cleaning techniques and safety practices.
* Maintains communication and relationship with Custodial Supervisor and Operations Manager.
* Ensures that equipment is properly maintained.
* Improves work methods, knowledge of equipment, supplies and safety through participation in training sessions with supervisors.
* Reports building damage and malfunctions in a computerized facilities management system.

* Ensures compliance with local, state and federal laws and agencies.
* Ensures compliance with policies and procedures for the custodial staff in accordance to the Campus Operations and Bellevue College.
* Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
* At least one (1) to two (2) years of Janitorial/Custodial work experience.
* At least one (1) year experience as a Lead Custodian.
* Knowledge of the methods, materials and equipment used in the custodial work.
* Demonstrated physical ability to do the required work, lift/push/or pull at a minimum 50 pounds.
* Must be able to work with arms overhead, kneel, bend, crawl, squat and crouch repeatedly.
* Ability to work off a ladder (up to 8 feet).
* Effective verbal and written communication skills.
* Effective interpersonal and customer service skills.
* Must be able to multi task and manage workload in fast-paced environment.

TITLE: Custodian
SALARY: $10.50-$15.50/hour (wage determined by years of relevant experience)
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 8 hours/day, 12 months/year (benefits-eligible)
REPORTS TO: Building Principal, Maintenance Supervisor, and/or Head Custodian
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually by the Building Principal and Assistant Director of Operations clean, attractive, pleasant, and smooth-functioning.
JOB GOAL: To provide all students with a physical learning environment that is safe, clean, attractive, pleasant, and smooth-functioning.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Keep building and premises, including sidewalks, driveways, and play areas, neat and clean at all times.
2. Shovel, plow, and/or sand walks and steps as appropriate.
3. Check daily to ensure that all exit doors are unlocked and all panic bars are working properly during the hours of building occupancy.
4. Raise the United States and Kansas flag at or before 8:00am on each school day, and lower it at or after 3:30pm.
5. Clean classrooms daily and dust furniture and woodwork.
6. Clean corridors after school each day, and/or during the day when their condition requires it.
7. Scrub, hose down, and disinfect toilet floors daily and clean all sanitary fixtures and drinking fountains daily.
8. Wash all windows on both the inside and outside at least twice each year and more frequently if necessary.
9. Keep the grounds free from rubbish.
10. Perform such yard keeping chores as grass cutting, tree trimming, etc. to maintain the school grounds in a safe and attractive condition.
11. Keep all floors in a clean and attractive condition and in a good state of preservation.
12. Clean all whiteboards at least once a week.
14. Make minor building repairs.
15. Report major repair needs correctly and in an accurate and timely manner.
16. Maintain, on a regular schedule, all motors and other mechanical equipment requiring scheduled servicing.
17. Report any damage and/or vandalism to school property immediately to the principal.
18. Remain on the school premises during school hours, and during non-school hours when the use of the building has been authorized and attendance is required by the principal.
19. Assume responsibility for the opening and closing of the building each school day and for determining, before leaving, that all doors and windows are secured, security systems activated, and all lights, except those left on for safety reasons, are turned off. (This duty may be delegated)
20. Maintain an inventory of supplies and equipment, and requisition needed replacements far enough in advance so that they may be delivered in such time as will not hinder the custodian.
21. Conduct an ongoing program of general maintenance, upkeep, and repair, including replacement of bulbs, tubes, filters, etc.
22. Move furniture or equipment within buildings as required for various activities and as directed by the principal.
23. Comply with local laws and procedures for the storage and disposal of trash, rubbish, and waste while wearing necessary personal safety equipment.
23. Conduct periodic inspections and tests of all electrical installations in the school to ensure their safe condition.
24. Cooperate with city and state inspectors involved in health, fire, and safety.
25. Perform routine janitorial duties as required.
26. Attendance is required.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High school graduate, or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

This position's responsibilities are to maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, safety and security of an assigned school facility, and to prepare the building for school and public events as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Depending upon the individual assignment, the custodian may perform all or a combination of several of the following duties:
1. Cleans assigned parts of school facility to provide a sanitary and safe environment for student learning and support functions; vacuums, dusts, mops, sweeps, cleans bathrooms and showers, picks up and empties trash, changes light bulbs, fills soap and paper products containers, removes graffiti and provides a wide variety of cleaning and custodial services.

ABOUT THE POSITIONS ACLT'S Benu Community Home is open seven days a week, including evenings and weekends. The Benu Community Home provides transitional housing to Black Men that may suffer from mental illness, substance disorder, co-occurring disorders, or other trauma related issues. The custodian role is important to help us provide a safe and clean environment for community guests. This position will collaborate with the Facilities and Maintenance Manager and Operations Manager to ensure the facility is clean and sanitize daily and ensure building areas are properly maintained. This position may be exposed to biohazardous materials such as blood, feces, vomit, urine, etc. The position performs a variety of light and heavy cleaning activities including scrubbing, stripping, waxing and buffing floors, cleaning and resupplying restrooms, vacuuming, and shampooing rugs and carpets, dusting and polishing furniture, and cleaning glass surfaces. Incumbents collect and remove trash from the building. Other responsibilities include maintaining and sanitizing cleaning equipment and laundering cleaning towels. The position is responsible for securing fire doors. Custodians may move furniture, set up meeting rooms, and perform other duties as assigned. Most custodians routinely work on night shift.
