CS Energy (formerly Conti Solar) is a national EPC, O&M, and energy storage company. CS Energy's attention to detail, flawless execution and collaborative culture has enabled them to successfully develop and install over 650 MW of solar projects since their early initiatives in 2004. CS Energy's leverage established partnerships with solar developers, IPPs, utilities, off-takers, suppliers and landowners to streamline project development, design, construction and operations, driving down project costs and creating value across all project stakeholders. Cons of working at CS Energy

My experience with CS Energy was deeply disappointing. The company fosters a toxic work environment where hard work and dedication are overlooked, and executives show little to no care for their employees' well-being. Despite having talented, dedicated people, there's an incredibly high turnover rate. The harder you work, the less they seem to care, leading to good employees being let go without valid reasons. It's clear that the leadership prioritizes numbers and short-term gains over the value of their staff. If you're considering joining CS Energy, beware of the constant stress, lack of appreciation, and the unstable environment that exists there

What do you like best about CS Energy's CEO and the leadership team?

Matthew Skidmore, the CEO of CS Energy, has shown a clear disregard for valuing and retaining good people. Under his leadership, there is a culture where hard work goes unnoticed, and talented employees are let go without reason. The lack of care for employee well-being has contributed to a toxic work environment and high turnover. Moreover, his executive assistant is incompetent and unprofessional, which only adds to the dysfunction at the leadership level. It’s disheartening to see a company that could thrive with its talented workforce be led so poorly from the top.

How would you improve CS Energy's culture?

CS Energy has the potential to be a great place to work, but there are key areas where improvements are needed to build a better company culture. The most important change should start with recognizing and retaining good, hardworking employees. Too often, talented individuals who go above and beyond are overlooked or let go, while negative influences and poor management practices are allowed to persist. To create a healthier work environment, leadership needs to focus on fostering a culture of support, recognition, and growth. By getting rid of negativity and prioritizing employee well-being, CS Energy could significantly reduce turnover and create a more positive and productive workplace. It’s time for the company to value its people, listen to feedback, and address these core issues.
