Rolling Plains Management Corporation is seeking applicants for the position of a full time Childcare Teacher position, at Crowell Child Development Center in Crowell, Texas. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, possess a high school diploma or its equivalent, and must be willing to complete all requirements of obtaining an Infant/Toddler Child Development Associate Credential. A minimum of 1-year of experience working with children ages 6 weeks - 8 years is preferred.
Responsible to the Center Director, the Childcare Teacher is responsible for the implementation of their respective program in meeting all required regulations for providing a safe and healthy educational environment and an environment conducive to learning for both enrolled children and their families.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities in all classroom functions.
Maintain a safe, healthy learning environment, both indoors and outdoors.
Responsible for planning and implementing a child development program for the day care classroom that conforms to developmentally appropriate practices and meets Minimum Standards.
Maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning.
Coordinate and interact positively with parent/volunteer assigned to classroom
Encourage the involvement of families in the classroom and in all activities of the child.
Develop lesson plans and implement learning experiences.

Maintain an open, friendly and cooperative relationship with each child's family, encourage their involvement in the program, and promote parent-child bonding and nurturing parent-child relationships.
Promote feelings of security and trust in children by being warm, supportive and comforting, and by establishing strong and caring relationships with them.
Effectively use all teaching resources.
Provide experiences to allow children to develop curiosity, initiative, problem-solving, creativity, sense of self and group belonging.
Ensure TDFPS regulations are followed to maintain license.
Ensure that children of all races, religions, family backgrounds and cultures are treated with respect and consideration.
Use positive methods of child guidance in accordance with established guidance.
Plan and implement decorations and activities according to themes.
Assure confidentiality of all children, families and co-workers. Maintain confidentiality at all times in regard to children enrolled and their family information, records and interaction with staff. Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Master's degree in speech-language pathology from an accredited college or university
Valid Texas license as a speech-language pathologist granted by the State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (SBESLPA) or Bachelor's degree and valid Texas Education Agency speech therapy certificate
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to use the accepted tests and measurements to assess communication disorders and conditions
Knowledge of evaluation, habilitation, and rehabilitation of speech-language disorders and conditions
Ability to instruct and manage student behavior
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience:
One year of supervised clinical speech-language pathology experience
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
Therapy
1.Conduct independent evaluations to assess students with speech or language disorders and conditions and provide appropriate individual and group therapy to students consistent with speech and language goals contained in Individual Education Plans (IEP). Evaluate student progress and make determinations regarding therapy services.
2.Develop clinical management strategies or procedures and diagnostic statements.
3.Participate in the Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) Committee. Assist in interpreting assessment data, appropriate placement, and goal setting for students with communication disorders or conditions according to district procedures.
4.Consult with colleagues, students, and parents regarding the accomplishment of therapy goals, the needs of the student, and involvement in the remedial process.
5.Collaborate with classroom teachers to plan and implement classroom activities to improve students' communication skills.
6.Provide professional development in assigned schools to help school personnel identify and work more effectively with students with communication deficits.
Student Management
7.Create an environment conducive to learning and appropriate for students' maturity levels and interests.
8.Establish control and administer discipline according to the Student Code of Conduct and student handbook.
Program Management
9.Develop and coordinate a continuing evaluation of speech-language pathology services and make changes based on the findings.
10.Participate in the selection of equipment and instructional materials.
11.Compile, maintain, and file all physical and computerized reports, records, and other required documents.
12.Comply with policies established by federal and state laws, State Board of Education rules, and board policy. Comply with all district and campus routines and regulations.
