The Public Works department is looking for qualified applicants to fill the position of Bridge Crew Leader in Olathe, KS. Job Requirements
Candidate is required to have a high school diploma or equivalent and four years of experience on construction projects such as roads and bridges. A valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsement. An acceptable driving record is also required.
Preferred Qualifications: One year of experience supervising, leading, or coordinating the work of others, and Vo-Tech in Agricultural, Automotive or Construction Technology, or other related fields of study.
This position may require exposure to extreme temperatures, fumes and/or chemicals, heights, and loud noises as well as lifting of 50 pounds.

Provide knowledgeable recommendations on suitable green goods (plants, shrubs, trees) and hard goods (mulch, stone, pavers) based on customer needs and project specifics
Process now orders of new daily transactions
Walk customers through the yard, showcasing relevant products and explaining their features, benefits, and applications
Answer customer questions regarding pricing, availability, and product specifications
Maintain a thorough knowledge of all green goods and hard goods, including their features, benefits, uses, and care requirements
Merchandise and showcase products in the yard with proper labeling and presentation to enhance sales and customer engagement
Operate equipment such as forklifts, loaders, and pallet jacks safely and efficiently to move and load materials
Assist customer with ensuring proper weight distribution and load security
Double-check orders to verify accuracy and completeness before loading
Be aware of surroundings and potential hazards, such as uneven terrain, moving equipment, and overhead obstacles
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Adhere to all safety policies and procedures

This is an opportunity for you to become a member of LiUNA (Laborers International Union of North America) Local 1290. General Laborers are needed now. At least three years of experience (4000 work hours). Need skills working as:
Mason Tenders/ Hod Carriers
Scaffold building experience
Ability to operate off-road fork truck safely
Ability to move around on scaffold safely carrying 12-inch blocks
Knowledge of Mixing machine or Hopper operation
Fork truck license and scaffold building certification a plus
Concrete Laborer
Ability to work with a concrete truck and run a chute safely with correct signals
