Performs routine maintenance and repair on pump stations and generators. Shovels, rakes and spreads dirt, sand, gravel, asphalt, and other materials. Responds tactfully to questions and comments from the public. May, under direction, estimate materials and determine tools, equipment and labor needed for jobs assigned. Must be available 24 hours a day by phone and subject to afterhours call outs with a maximum 30-minute response time. Has frequent contact with employees, citizens, local state, federal agencies, and other city departments. Ability to arrive to work on time and must maintain a regular and reliable level of attendance. Performs other duties as assigned or required.
