* Assemble and deliver meal trays following procedures for: suicide precautions, insulin orders, calorie counts, isolation precautions, special diets, allergy cross contamination, and recognize the medical implication for procedure non-compliance. Requires continuous standing through shift, repetitive hand motions, and grasping of items on trays.
* Deliver meal trays following procedures for: The Joint Commission requirement for utilizing two patient identifiers, proper hand hygiene procedures that include standard precautions and following Infection Prevention procedures for wearing protective equipment, as well as service excellence and recovery standards. Operate department provided iPads and cell phones to facilitate safe delivery and meal tray tracking. Requires continuous walking and pushing heavy carts.
* Perform tray retrieval using Infection Prevention protocol and universal precautions to reduce the spread of bloodborne pathogens, wearing personal protective equipment, and following proper ergonomic standards.
* Professionally communicate with Nursing and unit personnel, co-workers and the Manager on Duty.
* Follow standard recipes for portion control, follow ServSafe food safety procedures, and operate food service equipment safely.
* Follow serviceware and equipment sanitation standards in accordance with health code regulations, including proper use of chemicals.
* Utilize the CBORD application Food Management System for food production, Nutrition Services Suite for tray assembly, TrayMonitor module for tray delivery, and Tray Pick-up for tray retrieval.

Assistant Brewer/Cellarperson
Introductory level position that enables potential growth into Brewing and Cellaring Departments for employees. Candidate must have a strong desire to learn and execute routine duties involved in brewing and cellaring procedures with precision and accuracy. Position will be trained by both Brewing and Cellaring staff, with protocols provided for specific duty performance. Goal is to simultaneously develop Assistant towards more advanced protocol training and execution, as well as provide strong support for Brewing and Cellaring staff members.
Principles duties of this position are as follows:
Assist cellar by conducting Parts Cleaning and Storage protocol.
Assist cellar with tank cleaning, grundy cleaning, yeast harvesting, carbonation, and beer transfers.
Assist cellar with sanitation protocols.
Assist brewers with Milling and mash out.
Assist brewers by conducting Mash Out protocol, involving forklift operation.
Assist brewers with trub and hop removal.
Assist QA with sample taking and measurements.
Assigned facility-wide cleaning projects.
Assist packaging staff when necessary in keg cleaning, kegging, and canning operations.
Other projects as assigned.
Knowledge & Skill Requirements:
2- 3 years of brewery experience or brewery specific education preferred.
Must be self-motivated, have excellent written skills, verbal communication and a strong initiative based work ethic and be a minimum of 21 years of age.
Certification on Forklift operation preferred.
Position requires excellent communication skills, work with hazardous chemicals, ability to lift 75 lbs. routinely, fast-paced and independent time-managed work ethic.
Assistant Brewer should also be able to thrive in a collaborative team atmosphere, focusing on adherence and improvement of quality.
Ideal candidates can grasp the entire brewing process from malt to can, have a desire to improve process and procedures and aid in their implementation, and the expectation of evening and weekend work.
Physical Requirements
Ability to frequently reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Employee to employ traditional lifting methods.
Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Ability to work near moving mechanical parts.
Ability to work in a moderate noise level.
Ability to operate a Powered Industrial Truck (fork lift).
