Position
Rocky Mountain Laboratories is seeking two 1099 contractors for emergency courier coverage. These contractors will provide essential specimen retrieval, supply delivery, and transport of medical-related materials to internal and external customers. Paid training will be provided. Contractors will have access to a company vehicle during their shift.
Typical availability needed for shift coverage: 1600 to 0200. Varying end times depend on the route assigned.
Responsibilities
Ensure timely and accurate retrieval and delivery of medical specimens to designated destinations, adhering to established protocols.
Conduct supply drops as needed to clients or internal locations.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the company vehicle, including regular inspections and reporting any maintenance issues.
Adhere to all relevant safety regulations and guidelines while operating the vehicle and handling medical specimens.
Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and other team members to coordinate pickups, deliveries, and special instructions.
Handle specimens with care and attention to detail, ensuring proper labeling, packaging, and storage during transport.
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any concerns or inquiries from clients or recipients during pickups and deliveries.
Assist with loading and unloading specimens, equipment, and supplies as needed, following proper lifting and handling procedures.
Maintain accurate records and documentation of all pickups, deliveries, and related activities using company-provided software or paperwork.
Collaborate with colleagues to troubleshoot issues or challenges encountered during daily operations, contributing to a positive team environment.

Qualifications
Valid Driver's License.
Computer proficiency.

Previous medical courier experience preferred.
Minimum of two years of driving experience in previous roles.

Role Summary:
The Driver will play an essential role in delivering nuclear pharmacy products and services to and from the company's clients consisting of hospitals, physician's offices, community medical centers and other hospital and medical facilities.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Ensures the timely delivery of nuclear pharmacy products to predetermined customers on specific routes while meeting internal schedule and quality standards. Follow map/directions to locate delivery locations efficiently.
Unloads products as per client specifications while providing excellent customer service.
Acts as a customer service liaison for the company, including treating all internal and external customers with respect, listening to and assisting in resolving customer complaints. Informs management of complaints or requests in a timely manner.
Accepts returns from clients where applicable. Breaks down delivery cases, disposes of radioactive materials and sanitizes lead pigs.
Completes appropriate paperwork for deliveries and returns.
Maintains the cleanliness and appearance of the inside and outside of delivery vehicles and facility. Assists with the stocking of products and supplies throughout Facility as well as tracking inventory. Notifies Pharmacy Manager when products or supplies are low, need to be re-ordered or replaced.
Performs routine safety checks on vehicles and pre-trip vehicle inspections according to company guidelines. Immediately reports all vehicle maintenance issues or malfunctions to Pharmacy Manager.
Follows Standard Operating Procedures while safely carrying out the responsibilities of position. Complies with all company safety standards, and all federal, state and local laws.
Obtains required DOT training and certification.
Performs other related duties as assigned by Pharmacy Manager.

Rocky Mountain Laboratories specializes in providing quick patient turnaround times and upholds high reliability and professionalism within our team. Shifts typically begin between 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM and end between 12:00 AM and 2:00 AM.
On Tuesdays, one route may extend until 3:00-4:00 AM.
