Provides support to the nursing staff by continuous observation and surveillance to prevent patient injury for assigned patients. First line of action is to verbally redirect the patient from engaging in at risk behaviors. Summons the nursing staff if the patient requires assistance. Is knowledgeable and follows patient and institutional confidentiality and related hospital policies. Makes rounds to patients being monitored, transports specimens, equipment and completes courier duties. Also acts as patient sitter to provide support to the nursing staff. Responsibilities * Working under the supervision of the Radiopharmacy Supervisor, couriers are responsible for transporting products and supplies in a professional manner. * Maintains assigned vehicle and performs other job-related duties as assigned. * Assists Radiopharmacy staff in the preparation and packaging of radioactive material. Qualifications Job Requirements: * A high school education is required. * Must have a valid driver's license and must provide an original driving record. * Driving record must not reveal any DUIs, speeding tickets, or accidents within the past two (2) years. * One (1) year experience in driving. Must provide current Motor Vehicle Report within last 30 days. Ability to lift 70 lbs. as required. Walking and climbing stairs.
