As a member of our team, you will receive orders from a centralized dispatch, retrieve parcels from clients, and then deliver the parcels in a timely and safe manner. We provide our clients with the absolute highest in customer service, and you must be able to maintain a professional demeanor and appearance in order to best be an ambassador for our brand. Our ideal candidate has prior delivery or professional driving experience. You also need a keen eye for detail, safe driving skills, and a thorough knowledge of the wider geographic area. Delivery Driver Key Responsibilities: Delivers products to our customers in a safe, courteous, and timely manner. Establishes and maintains positive relationships with customers. Reviews and verifies invoices and purchase orders when necessary to ensure accuracy. Inspect delivery vehicles and ensures the safety and security of the loading and unloading process. Contacts customers to confirm delivery details when necessary. Determines placement of merchandise, follows safety and lifting protocols during deliveries. Maintains delivery logs and records. Requirements High School Diploma, or GED equivalent Previous experience truck driving or other related fields (preferred) Good communication and organizational skills Ability to problem solve Familiarity with local streets, neighborhoods, and routes Must be responsible & reliable Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Ability to work cohesively as part of a team Must have a valid driver's license Ability to handle physical workload (up to 50 pounds) Must pass pre-employment drug test. Summary: Facilitate a warm and welcoming environment of Ho'okipa (Hospitality) for all guests and visitors of IHS at designated service locations . Provide exceptional guest and meal service that ensures the welfare, health and safety of all IHS guests. Essential Functions: Demonstrate excellent customer service consistent with the standards contained in the Vision, Mission, and Values of the organization. Professionally interact with, support internal IHS policies and carry out daily site specific and organizational procedures that create a culture of hospitality, trust and respect. Cook, prepare and serve meals in accordance with food sanitation standards and meal program policies/procedures; ensure meal prep, storage and service areas are clean and organized. Ensures the food pantry, supply room and walk-in refrigerator / freezer are kept clean and organized. Assist with creating Kitchen, Tutu Bert's menu and USDA menu weekly. Assist the GSM / FSC in conducting Food Safety training classes and fostering a safe working environment for the GSA/ FSC staff and community volunteers. Maintain kitchen inventory and place orders for kitchen supplies. Observe guest behavior as needed to recognize behavioral changes in an effort to maintain a safe and respectful environment; accurately document information regarding guests into SAMi especially IR's (incident reports) including documenting when emergency situations arise with police, fire or EMS is contacted. Keep an accurate account of all events occurring during shift in the daily operations log and ensure vital information is passed on during shift changes. Defuse verbal/physical altercations in a non-violent manner using Crisis Prevention Intervention techniques (CPI). Facilitate emergency procedures including but not limited to situations involving fires, evacuations, use of 911 emergency services, first aid, CPR, drills and codes etc. Assist and ensure that shelter/site premises are clean and the environment is free from safety/health hazards; ensure that IHS property/equipment is handled with care and used as directed, report potential hazards, defects or dangerous situations to Guest Services Supervisor or Maintenance Dept. for repair schedules or immediate action. Other Duties: Answer phones at designated sites and/or perform receptionist duties as necessary. Welcome visitors, accept donations, issue receipts to donors and store items in the proper manner. Assist guest services as needed and process initial guest intakes and exits when necessary, inform guests of all services provided by IHS and explain their rights and responsibilities while at the shelter or designated service site; document accurately in SAMi and HMIS; provide assistance to guests in retrieving their necessary medications in storage and ensure medication log is consistently updated accurately. Attend all mandatory UDSA training, general staff and department meetings as directed. Perform other duties and accept responsibilities as assigned. Supervisory Responsibility: This position may have daily supervisory responsibility of in-house and community volunteers who are providing care, programming and assistance for the guests of IHS. JOB SUMMARY: The full-time Driver/Courier operates all vehicles as assigned by the GEODSS site management including, but not limited to passenger vans, sedans, and utility vehicles. Provide safe and pleasant driving performances for passengers to and from the site. Due to extended crew hours, for crew safety during the drive, crew often prefers to rest so a pleasant driving experience is often a quiet driving experience. Obey all posted precautions and speed limits. This position is covered under a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). It is a Union position with the IBEW Local 1260 - Maui. PRIMARY DUTY RESPONSIBLITIES: Operates company assigned vehicles to transport crews to and from the GEODSS site. Check and verify the basic essential mechanical components and systems of the vehicle, e.g. maintain proper fluid levels, tire pressures. Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the interior as well as the exterior of the vehicles. Notify management of any non-compliant issues and unsafe or hazardous vehicle conditions which may jeopardize the safety of your passengers or others before departure. Responsibilities include picking up the mail at the Post Office (USPS), packages at FedEx (both ground and air) and UPS, five-gallon bottled water, locally purchased items and others as directed acquisitions necessary for contract needs. Full-Time Salary Range: $50,315 - $57,554 EDUCATION: A high school diploma or GED is required. The Institute for Human Services (IHS) is Hawaii's most comprehensive human services agency dedicated to ending and preventing homelessness. For over 45 years, we've been at the forefront of creating tailored solutions for those in crisis, offering a continuum of care that includes emergency shelters, housing programs, health services, employment assistance, and outreach. The Guest Services Assistant (Food Safety Certified) cooks, coordinates and ensures timely meal service to all IHS guests. This position plans and prepares according to the meal service menu and work collaboratively with volunteer groups/individual volunteers providing ingredients or service in the IHS meal program kitchen. The Guest Services Assistant (Food Safety Certified) provides exceptional guest service and ensure the welfare, health and safety of all IHS guests. Compensation: Starting from $16.50 hourly up to $18.00, dependent on experience. Required Education and Experience: One year experience in commercial kitchens, soup kitchens and/or large scale cafeteria settings. Six months to one year of direct service or customer related experience working with disenfranchised or medically fragile populations. Basic computer skills; able to navigate Google email, Microsoft applications and databases. Expected Hours of Work: Hours include some evenings, weekends and holidays. Hours and days may vary based on the needs of the organization.
