Given the magnitude of the opioid crisis in Philadelphia, the person filling this position will be primarily responsible for identifying and implementing strategies that increase buprenorphine use in primary care for the treatment of opioid use disorder. The individual filling this position will work with: the city's major health systems and commercial insurance providers; primary care providers; the Health Federation of Philadelphia; substance use treatment experts at the Poison Control Center; as well as other community partners. The work will be done in coordination with the Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual disability Services and Community Behavioral Health (CBH-Philadelphia's behavioral health Medicaid program).
