Legal Guidance: Provide expert legal advice and guidance to our operations and commercial teams on a wide range of legal matters, including interpretation of statutes, regulations and case law, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. 2. Drafting and Negotiation: Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize complex real estate and transactional agreements. Ensure agreements align with the Partnership's policies, objectives, and risk tolerance. 3. Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Assess legal and commercial risks associated with our commercial activities and develop strategies to mitigate risks and protect the Partnership's interests while helping our internal clients achieve their business objectives. 4. Compliance: Stay current with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to our operational and commercial activities and counsel our clients to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations governing real estate, M&A, and other legal requirements. 5. Outside Counsel Oversight: Work collaboratively with our outside counsel to oversee activities upon which they are engaged. Act as liaison for our internal clients to ensure our outside counsel understand and are counseling consistent with our overall objectives and risk tolerance. 6. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with all internal departments to ensure legal counsel and advised approaches align with company-wide goals and objectives. Qualifications/Requirements: 1. Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and active membership in the bar association. 2. Minimum of three (3) years of experience as an attorney, with a focus on real estate, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate legal matters, either in-house or at a law firm. 3. Strong knowledge of real estate and M&A transactions. 4. Experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of legal instruments, including real estate and M&A documents. 5. Sound understanding of the legal and regulatory frameworks and the common law principles applicable to real estate and M&A matters. 6. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors. 7. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and the capacity to assess and mitigate legal and commercial risks. 8. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
