We are seeking a Manager - Youth Behavioral Health Specialist to join our team. Your role will require an individual who can observe the interaction and provides daily supervision to staff and clients, ensuring the staff is following routines, policies, and treatment plans. As a manager of the Residential team, you will supervise other team members and report to Sidney Moore. WHAT YOU WILL DO: * Maintains emotional and physical safety and crisis management for the client. * Shall observe the interaction and daily supervision of the Youth Behavioral Health Specialists with the clients, making sure the staff are following routines, policies, and treatment plans. * Oversee the planning and coordination of the milieu program. * Provide coaching, training, and performance management to assigned staff per department and agency standards. * Shall ensure that all staff are completing and turning in the proper documentation as required per agency policy. * Provide customer service to client guardians and support workers. Shall serve as a liaison between the cottage/dorm/unit and parents/guardians of the clients. * May oversee the administration of client medications. The incumbent also serves as a consultant to educators, families and community partners. The candidate for this position will work with our returning guidance counselor secretary to provide support to our students. Certified staff of Oak Grove R- VI School District have the opportunity to participate in Career Ladder. Staff with two years of experience teaching in a Missouri Public School may earn $1,500 - $5,000 for approved work outside of the school day. Essential functions of the job may include but are not limited to the following: Responsible for yearly scheduling and placement of students in accordance with curriculum. Building Testing Coordinator Set up all testing for students grades 6 - 8 Manage MAP Testing and EOC's Enter all coding into DRC Guide and counsel groups and individual students through the development of educational and career plans. Counsel small groups and individual students with problems. Consult with teachers, staff and parents regarding the developmental needs of students. Refer students with severe problems to appropriate community resources in consultation with their parents. Be a participating member of building evaluation, Section 504, and student support teams. Support the overall district's educational program through general consultation activities and committee work. Assist with the placement of students in appropriate career and educational settings. Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this position. Consult with parents, teachers, administrators and supporting agencies concerning the needs and abilities of students. Implement a comprehensive appraisal process by: a. selecting and administering appropriate ability, achievement and interests' tests, b. visiting with students and interviewing interested adults and c. interpreting results to students, teachers, administrators and parents. Update and maintain confidential student records including cumulative transcripts and student files. Identify students with special needs and make appropriate recommendations and referrals. Assist in a continuous program of student orientation. Assist in making recommendations for school curriculum and instructional practices. Assist with the activities of student organizations. Attend and assist, when necessary, with school events such as musical programs, athletics, student recognition ceremonies, graduation and open house. See that district policies are observed during all activities. Keep abreast of new information, innovative ideas and techniques. Obtain advance approval of the principal for all activities and expenditures. Other duties as assigned by the principal or other administrative staff, which are consistent with the general requirements and qualifications for the position. Knowledge Skills and Ability Required: Knowledge of high School curriculum, concepts and graduation requirements for the state of Missouri. Knowledge of data information systems, data analysis and the formulation of action plans. Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws regarding education and students. Ability to use computer network system and software applications as needed. Ability to organize and coordinate work. Ability to communicate effectively with students and parents. Ability to engage in self-evaluation with regard to performance and professional growth. Current Systems and Training: Launch TeacherEase DRC Trauma Smart Certification: Master's Degree in one of the following; counseling or psychology Minimum of two years teaching experience. Must hold, be eligible for, maintain a Valid Missouri Teaching and Counselor Certificate in Area of Application. Physical Requirements: Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, operate a computer and other office equipment, reach with hands and arms, and must occasionally lift, move and/or support up to 10 pounds or more at times. Compensation Details
  • LMFT, LPC, LCPC, LCMFT, LSCSW: $80 per hourly session (53-minutes)

  • Licensed Psychologist: $90 per hourly session (53-minutes)

  • Guaranteed payment every two weeks via direct deposit

  • Payment protection for no-shows, late cancellations, & denied claims

  • *As of 10/09/2024, we've increased our standard rate for all therapists licensed in Kansas. The rate for LCPs has increased to $90. LCSW, LPC, LMFT rates have increased to $80.
