Position Summary:
As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) working in a school setting, you will provide behavior assessment, consultation, and intervention services to support students with behavioral challenges and developmental disabilities. Collaborating closely with school staff, administrators, and families, you will design and implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs), train school personnel, and monitor progress to promote positive behavioral outcomes and enhance students' educational experiences.
Responsibilities:
Utilizing relevant assessment tools e.g. the Verbal Behavior Milestones Assessment and Placement Program (VB-MAPP), Adaptive Behavior Assessment System (ABAS), Vineland, Questions About Behavior Function (QABF), Preference assessments, Functional Assessment Screening Tool (FAST), reinforcer assessments and data collection procedures to conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA)
Using results of FBA to determine function of target behaviors and develop behavioral interventions and protocols based on ABA methodology to reduce target behaviors and teach new skills
Developing individualized behavior plans including treatment goals and objectives based on FBA results and ABA methodology in conjunction with all team members
Collect, analyze and graph behavioral data from RBT progress notes or direct observations/data collection
Consult and collaborate with the school teams
Supervise RBTs if applicable
Qualifications:
BCBA certification (Required)
Experience completing FBAs and Behavior Support Plans
Experience in an educational setting (Preferred)

Job Responsibilities:
The D&A Counselor will primarily be responsible for the clinical monitoring, coordinating and implementing of the MAT in accordance with NCCHC/ACA Standards and PCM policies and procedures. In addition, the D&A Counselor will also serve as one of the MAT liaisons between the medical unit and facility staff.
Other responsibilities will include:
Engages inmates/patients in therapeutic interventions with the goal of addressing substance abuse related concerns.
Actively assist with the detection and prevention of inmate/patient suicide.
Assesses and documents treatment responses of inmates/patients.
Facilitates group and individual sessions with inmates/patients in the MAT
Assists with discharge planning for inmates/patients on the MAT caseload or collaborates with inmate services staff regarding discharge planning (where applicable)
Facilitates/participates in interdisciplinary team meetings and/or case consultations with staff across disciplines.
Is a member of the Quality Assurance Committee and sub-committees as Assists in the establishment of Quality Assurance standards and audit criteria.
Serves as a member of various committees within the medical unit and facility as necessary.
Develops and conducts in-service education programs according to annual in- service calendar

Submit copy of professional license and other credentialing information to the corporate office.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct individual and group counseling sessions using evidence-based practices.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
Monitor and assess patient progress, adjusting interventions as needed.
Contribute to the overall success of the treatment center through participation in team meetings and professional development activities.
Develop the patient discharge/continuum of care plan to ensure movement to the appropriate levels of care.
Maintain patient caseload (including all case management and utilization review updates, treatment planning duties, and clinical charting as required).

Deliver Comprehensive Services
Provide comprehensive home-based services (including, but not limited to, individual, family and school counseling, GPS, truancy and/or independent living services) in compliance with all specific county and program requirements. It is the responsibility of the employee to know all the program and county standards for the particular service they are providing.
Evaluate client's mental health condition based on review of client information and completion of needs assessment.
Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical experience and knowledge.
Meet or exceed clinical productivity targets.
Utilize evidence-based practice and clinical models.
As needed, complete case management related tasks (i.e. resource identification and coordination).
Collaboration
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with referring agency staff, schools, and community resources.
Consult, network and cooperate with community systems to facilitate linkage, referrals, crisis management, advocacy, and follow up with the focus on attaining treatment goals.
Attend all court hearings, case reviews or staffing(s) as necessary.
Documentation and Records Management
Document all client, family and collaborative contacts through up-to-date case notes that will be maintained in client files/database.
Provide Clinical Progress Reports as required, as well as any other specific written or verbal information requested by referring agency or supervisor, meeting all deadlines.
Maintain client files and program records ensuring that all required documents are in accordance with applicable standards and regulations at all times.
Maintain all client data, outcomes and follow-up information accurately and update as required.
Crisis Support
Provide Safety and Crisis Plans for all clients that includes local crisis support
Provide crisis support during regular business hours
Facilitate problem solving for the family
Admissions
Ensure that all admissions are processed promptly and that intake forms are completed properly.
Compliance
Ensure that all case records, correspondence and conversations regarding clients remain confidential as required by HIPAA compliance mandates.
Comply with all Mandated Reporting, Duty to Warn and Duty to Protect Laws in all clinical work.
Prepare for and participate in scheduled Quality Assurance Reviews of data, reports, client files, paperwork, checklists, etc.
Complete Satisfaction and Outcomes questionnaires
Provide session recordings monthly for MI
Coordination of Treatment
Participate in regularly scheduled clinical supervision.
Attend and actively participate in all scheduled professional trainings.
Be available to clients, child serving agencies and co-workers via cell phone and return all calls within a timely manner.
Monitor all electronic communications throughout the day and respond accordingly. Ensure electronic communications reflect days off with instructions on who to contact in your absence
Professionalism
Apply cultural sensitivity in clinical and professional work, including regular participation in the development of cultural awareness.
Participate in training MHWs in treatment modalities as needed.

Behavioral Health Associates (BHA) is an educational organization. We offer an academic learning environment integrated with behavior support services for students diagnosed with emotional/behavioral disorders to empower the students in overcoming challenges and creating new stories in their lives.
We currently have openings for Full-Time, Licensed Behavior Specialists.
JOB GOAL
This position seeks a passionate and dedicated Licensed Behavioral Specialist to work in our schools. You will be essential in helping our students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct assessments such as VB-MAPP, EFLs, AFLS, etc.
Develop and implement individualized Behavior Intervention Plans based on assessments.
Provide direct support to students with social, emotional, and behavioral needs, including those with autism spectrum disorder.
Provide modeling, guidance, and feedback to Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) and Autistic Educational Support Staff (AESS) in the delivery of intervention packages.
Work closely with Teachers and other professionals to ensure a coordinated and effective approach to student support.
Gather data and adjust interventions as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
Attend weekly meetings with Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and/or Program Administration to notify stakeholders of issues impacting student progress and overall care.
Strong knowledge and deep understanding of behavior analytic interventions.
Document all services provided, student progress, and other relevant information in accordance with Behavioral Health Associates policies and legal requirements.
Respond positively to supervision and suggestions for improvement.
Employ restorative practices throughout the school community.
Work to stay current in subject and content area of instructional techniques and the field of ABA.
Perform other duties as assigned by administration.
QUALIFICATIONS
Master's Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, School Psychology, Special Education, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited college or university, required.
Behavior Specialist License, required.
Minimum 1 year of experience conducting FBA's, familiarity with common assessments (e.g., VB-MAPP, EFLs, AFLS, etc.), and developing/implementing behavioral support plans for individuals under 21 years of age.
Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with staff and leadership team, while maintaining professional boundaries.
Positively represent and promote BHA services to outside organizations.
Maintain confidentiality in all matters, including the dissemination of information regarding program development, staffing, and billing.
Ability to work both independently and as a team.
Communicate effectively utilizing both written and oral communication.
Basic computer literacy with Microsoft/Office 365 (Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, etc.).
Effectively utilize technology for communication and reporting needs.
