* The Cook/Custodian complies with sanitation guidelines as recommended by the State of Missouri Health Department. Keeps area sanitary, clean, and orderly. Area includes: cooking appliances, utensils, dishes, kitchen, and serving area.
* The Cook/Custodian ensures the cleaning checklists is completed each day and kept on file.
* The Cook/Custodian cleans dining room tables, chairs, and floor in eating area before each meal and immediately after each meal using the assistance of other staff as needed.
* The Cook/Custodian maintains food service equipment in working condition. Reports any problems and repairs to Team Supervisor.
* The Cook/Custodian maintains all records and documentation pertaining to food services including purchase amounts of food, recording expenditures, and daily sanitation checklist.
* The Cook/Custodian addresses special diet needs for Head Start children in cooperation with Family Health Coordinator.
* The Cook/Custodian follows CACFP regulations for preparation, storage, and disposal of foods.
Custodian duties:
* The Cook/Custodian removes and dispose of all trash from restrooms, kitchen and classrooms.
* The Cook/Custodian sanitizes bathroom floors, sinks, and toilets.
