Position Summary
Prepares and cooks family style meals for residents and employees of CKF, keeps kitchen work areas in safe, clean and orderly conditions, by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Regular and predictable attendance.
Assists with Kansas Food Code compliance.
Maintains kitchen and storage facility in a site visit ready manner at all times.
Cooks foodstuffs in quantities according to menu and number of persons to be served.
Sweeps and mops kitchen floors.
Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, and cutting boards.
Washes pots, pans, trash, and other dishes.
Wipes down dining room tables, chairs and other surfaces.
Refills containers including salt, pepper, napkins, cereal, etc.
Stores foods in designated areas with proper containers and labels.
Serves meals.
Plans menus taking advantage of foods in season.
Orders supplies and keeps records and accounts.
Oversees loading or unloading of delivery trucks.
Picks up and delivers supplies and food.
Completes inventories, places orders and maintains records in compliance for Kansas Food Bank and State Food Commodities programs.
Manages the ordering, receipt and compliance of USDA commodities and food bank donations.
Other duties as assigned.

The TONY'S Pizza Events Center, located in Salina, Kansas is composed of a newly renovated 6,500+ seat multipurpose arena and the Great Plains Manufacturing Convention Hall, an 18,000 square foot convention space. The City of Salina is the primary owner of the Tony's Pizza Events Center. OVG manages the Tony's Pizza Events Center as well as hundreds other public assembly facilities around the world.
Responsibilities
* Responsible for cooking and packaging food product which is prepared to order or kept warm until sold.
* Receives verbal orders from the front counter staff for food product requirements for guest orders.
* Responsible for maintaining quality and production standards on all menu items. Food must be fresh and of high quality when served to the guests.
* Responsible for portion control and serving temperatures of all products served in the concession stand.
* Responsible for cleaning, stocking and restocking of workstations and displays.
* Responsible for operating large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep-fat fryers and ovens.
* Ensures that all work areas and equipment are clean, food products are properly stored, utensils are clean and put away and floor is swept and mopped at end of shift. The Cook must be checked out before ending the shift by the Floor Supervisor to ensure the concession stand meets cleanliness standards.

Position Overview:
The primary responsibility of the Cook is to oversee the preparation and serving of daily meals; the storage, marking and inventory of leftover food products; and the cleaning and sanitizing of cooking utensils, food preparation areas, and food storage units. The Cook will ensure the production of a quality produce, and that food, health and safety regulations are followed.
