OUR COOK POSITION The primary focus of the COOK position is to provide direct cooking, and baking for residents, visitors and staff with the highest degree of quality care and customer service at all times, according to Kosher traditions. Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items Prepare meals during our dining hours according to Kosher traditions Maintain accurate food inventories Properly store food items at appropriate temperatures Rotate stock items as per established procedures Restock kitchen for subsequent shifts Ensure that the food prep area and kitchen are cleaned and sanitized at the end of your shift SHIFTS & STATUS The COOK position is a full time position. EDUCATION & TRAINING Must possess a high school or equivalent education. Training in institutional food preparation. Previous experience in large scale food preparation. Knowledge of cooking methods/procedures, including types of preparation and related routines. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
