* Set up food serving stations and serve, cleans and stores dishes, utensils, cafeteria equipment and food supplies; cleans work areas; operates kitchen equipment.
* Assist with supervision of student help.
* Operate a cash register; accept payments for food when necessary.
* Substitute for the Nutrition Manager as needed.
* Assist in the maintenance of school cafeteria records, orders and inventory supplies.
* Promote the school meal programs and provide excellent customer service.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Knowledge of reading, writing and business math; knowledge of the cooking and food preparation techniques as applied to institutional school food preparation; knowledge of commonly encountered commercial kitchen equipment and utensils and their safe handling and operation; knowledge of proper food handling, cleaning and storage; knowledge of established USDA guidelines concerning nutritional requirements for school lunch programs
