SUMMARY: To provide the best service possible by preparing each and every food product to company specifications, meeting and exceeding the expectations of our guests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Maintains a positive and professional as well as genuine approach to job duties, fellow team members and the guests, recognizing the value of teamwork.
Demonstrates the ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment, coping with stressful situations with patience and a positive outlook.
Displays a great sense of urgency, a strong attention to detail, and a desire to get things done right the first time.
Enjoys the challenge of effectively managing multiple tasks without sacrificing quality or cost controls.
Exhibits an understanding of the importance of safe food handling procedures, as well as safety procedures in the kitchen.
Places delivery items in the proper storage areas such as shelves and the walk-in cooler/freezer.
Rotates food products to preserve quality and control waste.
Utilizes AM/PM checklists to determine quantities of products to prepare for the shift.
Assembles and activates all equipment and machinery, i.e. ovens, broilers, fryers, for use.
Prepares food items to order, or in advance as needed.
Prepares various food items, such as steaks, chicken, fish, potatoes, salad, etc.
Plates all ordered food items in accordance with guest orders and company specifications and places on line for pick-up.
Empties trash and places dirty dishes and pans on racks or counters for cleaning in dishwasher area.
Maintains a sanitary work station, using the "clean as you go" method.
Prepares food items following the restaurants recipe manuals.
Knowledge and use of safe food handling/sanitation procedures.
Uses checklist to assess food quantities.
Exercises teamwork with other staff.
Abides by the restaurants standards, policies, procedures, and safety rules at all times.
Reports to work on time well groomed and properly attired.
Conducts self in a professional and respectful manner towards guests, fellow employees and management at all times.
Maintains confidentiality of all trade secrets, keeping all recipes, policies and procedures confidential.
All other duties as assigned.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Salary: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
