Department: Child Life Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Standard Weekly Hours: 40 The Child Life Specialist will be responsible for providing essential life experiences, family support & education to patients and families. The child life specialist collaborates with other health care providers, as well as the community, to promote growth and development and facilitate positive adjustment for patients and families throughout the health care experience. Minimum of bachelor's degree in Child Life, Child Development or a closely related field.
Completion of child life internship
Certified Child Life Specialist, by exam, within one year of hire
CPR - BLS is required within 60 days of hire

The Fort Worth Urgent Care Clinic is seeking a Child Life Specialist who will be responsible for providing essential life experiences, family support & education to patients and families in the health care system. The child life specialist collaborates with other health care providers, as well as the community, to promote growth and development and facilitate positive adjustment for patients and families throughout the health care experience.
Hours: Sun - Wed 12 pm - 10:30 pm
Required Education/Qualifications:
Bachelor's (or) Master's Degree in Child Life, Child Development, or a closely related field.
Requires Completion of an internship in child life.
Previous experience working as a Child Life Specialist preferred.
Certified Child Life Specialist
(or eligible)
within one year of hire.
American Heart Association Health Care Provider BLS is required within 60 days of hire.

The Child/Family Therapist (LCSW, LPC or LMFT) provides outpatient psychotherapy, individual, and play therapy to clients ages 3 - 18 years of age and works with families to better assist children and adolescents. Must have experience with pediatric/adolescent mental health diagnoses using a variety of treatment milieu and psychological tests. Experience providing therapy to patients with ADHD, developmental delays, mood disorders, complex psychiatric and neuropsychiatric conditions. Experience with trauma-informed care is preferred. A strong understanding of the ecological, biological, genetic, and developmental factors that promote health across the lifespan is preferred. May be assigned to work with specialty populations or across several clinic locations as needed.
Location/Hours: Cook Children's Medical Center (Fort Worth, TX)
Mon - Fri, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm or 9 am - 5 pm
Education/Licensure & Qualifications:
Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Family Therapy or related field.
Licensed in Texas as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT.
Previous experience providing therapy to Pediatrics/Adolescents.
Experience with Play and Trauma therapy (preferred).
Previous experience working in a medical setting (preferred).
CPR - Basic Life Support required prior to start date.
