Summary of position: The primary purpose of this position is to be responsibly operate the dishwasher machines, to properly clean all dishes, glassware, flatware and all cooking utensils used in the kitchens, restaurants and banquets. Restocks all supplies in the proper storage areas. General kitchen cleaning duties including the cleaning and mopping of kitchen floors, walk-ins and freezers, as well as managing trash, bottle and recycling removal. As a Prep Cook the position will be responsible for providing a supportive role to kitchen staff in the preparation of meals and ingredients. The duties include organizing and labeling food items in storage closets, performing tasks like chopping ingredients and sanitizing their work station during and after service. Ensure preparation, plating and presentation standards are maintained and safety standards and regulations are followed to provide the highest quality food standards and consistency. Maintains the sanitation and maintenance of a safe work and food prep environment.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent GED; prior hotel or hospitality experience preferred
Demonstrate excellent organizational skills, communication skills, and problem-solving skills
Washington Food Handlers permit required, or ability to obtain one.

About You
Prep Cooks are responsible for preparation, assembly, and final presentation of ingredients according to the 49th State Brewing Company s recipes and specifications and ensuring the quality of cooked/prepared food by testing them. Work Environment
This position operates in restaurant/kitchen setting. There are stairs and uneven surfaces. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
