The Group You'll Be A Part Of In the SEM Lab, we serve as the eyes for Lam's process development teams. Our objective is high volume metrology data generation, with rapid turnaround times to facilitate more experimental iterations and a faster time to solution. Two schedule options are available for this nightshift position: a four-day 10hr/day schedule from 6pm - 4am, or a compressed 12hr/day schedule from 5pm - 5am which alternates between three and four days per week. What You'll Do * Operate a state-of-the-art Scanning Electron Microscope in order to image semiconductor samples. * Prepare samples using precision mechanical cleaving techniques. * Protect customer IP through procedure and vigilance. * Receive and integrate feedback from imaging in service of continuous improvement to the sample preparation process. Fine tune systems as new programs and sequences are developed. • Recognize opportunities for further building enhancements, execute upgrades, and conduct small-scale retrofits on existing systems. • Perform building surveys and work with Service Manager on estimating additional work. • Perform necessary software programming, equipment start-up, tuning and calibration and commissioning of BAS systems. • Be proficient in knowledge of following equipment: VAVs, Exhaust Fans, Unit Vents, AHUs, Hot Water Systems, Chiller Water Systems, and Lighting. • Stay informed of industry developments for energy savings strategies. • Effectively provide feedback to supervisor for ways to improve the installation process. •Stay current on technical data and solutions for existing problems and updates. • Assume additional responsibilities as needed and approved by management. Qualifications • Field experience in the HVAC controls industry including DDC Systems commissioning, software integration operation, calibration and experience with pneumatic controls. • Knowledge of Automated Logic commissioning tools and field circuit debugging skills. • Understanding of the construction industry with emphasis in mechanical/electrical fields. • Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings. • Strong communication, organizational and documentation skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and various operating systems. • Proven track record of completing projects, being self-motivated and achieving customer satisfaction. • Deploy, revise, checkout, and commission building automation, DDC, energy management and controls systems hardware, software and graphics. **Paying $28 / HR to $35 / HR** **Responsibilities:** + Read and understand bill of material structure; escalate errors or discrepancies to appropriate personnel. + Visually inspect components for flaws/damage and escalate issues to appropriate personnel. + Assist with miscellaneous tasks as assigned, which may include packaging finished goods, material handling (kitting), warehouse cleanup and organization, etc. + Maintain values and commitment to quality and safety. + Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including participation in 5S program. + Capable of lifting and carrying 50 pounds. + Communicates ideas and facts in a professional manner to all stakeholders. + Regularly perform repetitive tasks and sit or stand for long periods of time. + Regularly possess manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately. + Upload component firmware ("configure devices") according to written instructions. + Adhere to the company's redline process to clearly document any as‐built changes. + Maintain accurate accounting of project materials and report any discrepancies appropriately. + Rework and/or repair equipment and products as instructed. + Participate in the development of work instructions as needed, which may include writing simple work instructions, cutsheets, or assembly notes. + Safely use advanced tooling (power tools, CableEye, etc). + Identify the need for, and assist in, the development of tools/jigs to facilitate assembly processes. + Operate and maintain test fixtures, devices, and test cables. + Perform field service, as needed. + Proficiently navigate 3D CAD/e‐drawings as an aid to assembly. + Perform full system cold checks using a schematic ("continuity checks"). + Obtain company‐sponsored high‐voltage electrical safety training to act as a "qualified" worker to safely perform hot checks for new systems. + Possess advanced or expert level proficiency in the layout, routing, and termination of wires for UL 508A electrical panels. + Possess advanced or expert level proficiency in building cables/wire harnesses that conform to IPC 620 standards. + Possess advanced or expert level proficiency of assembling 24V safety circuits (e‐stops, light curtains, status lights, sensors). + Identify continuous improvement opportunities for the production team and take a leadership role in continuous improvement activities. + Perform advanced troubleshooting for electromechanical assemblies (motors, cables, electrical panels, mechanical assemblies). + Assume a leadership role on first article projects, as assigned. + Act as a leader for the entire production team, upholding values, ethics, and commitments to quality and safety. **Qualifications:** + Must have 2+ years of mechanical Solder, strip, crimp, splice electrical wires. + Build mechanical subassemblies using a variety of fastening methods. + Torque fasteners to proper spec and in proper sequence. + Route cables and securing wiring throughout systems. + Properly and consistently attach labels or name plates to assemblies, components, or cables. + Measure dimensions to verify proper clearance of parts. + Safely use standard assembly tooling (hex wrenches, screw drivers, wire cutters, wire strippers, torque tools, etc.). + Use appropriate tooling/fixtures to aid in proper assembly. + Read and understand electrical schematics assembly or building experience. + Must have the ability to use hand and power tools in addition to reading. blueprints/schematics.
