Job Summary:
Field Technical Support Specialist will provide first level support to our clients and dealers and second level support to our Field Technicians located within North America. 4. Understanding of structured cabling basics and troubleshooting.

Some of these Key Tasks:
The Field Technical Support Specialist (FTSS) will be responsible for design support, small installs and service support for an assigned region. They will work closely with Security Project Manager (SPM), Service Technical Manager (STM) and Security Design Engineer (SDE) and will report to the Senior Operations Manager for Technology (SOM)
The FTSS will assist with responsibility for the security project once instructed by the SPM.
The FTSS will join (where necessary) the project specific conference calls.

The FTSS is responsible for technical commissioning and completing a quality control audit of the new security system with the SPE.

The position conducts, maintains, tests and repairs electrical/electronic, mechanical systems and components. Tests new products, troubleshoots and repairs mechanical and electrical/electronic equipment, including programmable controls, numeral controls, power supplies, laser sources, drives, gages and test equipment.
Advises and trains assemblers of operation procedures and requirements for working safely with electrical/electronic and mechanical equipment and components.
Maintains company-required performance and test reports for identified equipment.

The BAS Technician I is responsible for the start-up & commissioning, trouble-shooting and repair of Automatic Temperature Control systems, utilizing knowledge of electronics, direct digital control, airflow, hydronics, refrigeration and air conditioning theory, and control techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
* Responsible for day to service assignments to various customers site. At times performing upgrades and service projects requiring end to end testing, program loading, start-up, commissioning, and assigned projects. Working independently and the ability to perform and schedule small service projects a plus.
* Uses a variety of hand tools, interpreting control drawings, plans and specifications, to mount, assemble, test, and program and service Building Management Systems.
* Analyzes, diagnoses, and repairs direct digital control systems on project sites.

* Prepares for on-site installation and repairs by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials and coordinating on-site work, as necessary.

* Documents work by completing service work orders on each job, including daily timesheet, progress work reports, and maintaining files.
