Job Description :
The Digital 3D & Factory Planning specialist will work as part of a team dedicated to lead the use of digital engineering tools as a technical means of virtual prototyping, design collaboration and validation across Vehicle Process Engineering cores. The successful candidate will focus on development and deployment of Vehicle Process Engineering's CAD digital tools, including CAD design and factory layout modeling of 3D and IFM models, supporting Manufacturing launch activities. The successful candidate will require interaction with both corporate, plant personnel, and suppliers to coordinate various aspects of the digital engineering portfolio. Responsibilities may include, but not limited to the following:
Coordination of CAD deliverables along the phases of the launch life cycle between stakeholders in Vehicle Process Engineering, and various suppliers. Update and maintain 3D library models.
Coordinates and leads the Virtual Design Reviews (Digital Mockup's) with all key stakeholders. Identifies interferences with facilities, material handling, and structural models in the virtual setting. Performs project data management, documentation, and reports for model accuracy and project status.
May be required to perform laser scanning activities to assist in plant factory design process.
Develop and deploy CAD design and factory layout modeling digital tools, including asset library development and support for Manufacturing launch activities. Coordinate best-practice sharing between assembly plants through center of competence. Work with the program management, cores, and plant teams on tool development, including ensuring integrated digital factory capabilities.

Position Description:
The ideal candidate will be highly organized, have strong General Assembly, Sonic welding, and Plastic tooling design skills using SolidWorks. Experience in BIW tooling, Naams Standards, Robotic welding and end of arm tooling is a plus. Primary Responsibilities:
Provide project leadership and drive all aspects of design from project kick off to
releasing prints to

met while being cost effective.
Manage design timeline and ensure resources are adequate for current and
upcoming work.
Meet with suppliers, gather technical information, and buy off designs based on

Education/Skills/Required Experience:
