Designers utilize their production skills and design knowledge to accomplish both design and production tasks in the completion of the firm's projects. They are assigned specific tasks on project teams and are expected to assist project managers, engineers, and other designers in the development of building systems. In addition to the above, Designer IIIs may also be assigned projects to manage. The primary responsibilities below are general in nature with the willingness to handle many duties in a small office environment a must. Primary Duties Include: Perform calculations, using engineering formulas and skills for design such as lighting and power plans and riser diagrams. Select equipment based on recommendations of Project Manager/Engineer and fill out equipment schedules. Research design options and document findings for Project Manager/Engineer.
