Role Overview:

Founded in 1998 by three chefs, Second Helpings remains true to its core mission while the ability to serve our community has continued to grow. We fight hunger from all angles. In the last fiscal year, we saved 3.4 million pounds of food from the landfill. We distributed over 1 million meals and redirected another 2.2 million pounds of food products to 100 area partners. We trained 23 adults for meaningful careers in the culinary industry to help create more opportunities for success and self-sufficiency.
The Second Helpings building is a vibrant and active one, fostering a collaborative work environment. The organization relies on a steady and dedicated volunteer corps that is in the building during most open hours, and it sees present and former culinary job training students coming and going regularly. JOB SUMMARY
Supports the activities of the Director of Agency Relations coordinates select activities related to managing Hunger Relief partner agencies.
RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Creates and maintains weekly partner agency schedule and the production schedule for the Hunger Relief department.
Coordinates creation and accuracy of daily meal delivery tickets and tags with clerical volunteers.
Creates and maintains Truck Book Manuals for volunteer drivers.
Creates the weekly bread/dessert list and trains the bread volunteers in the process.
Maintains and implements the annual pan invoice worksheet and coordinates with accounting to resolve unpaid invoices.
Oversees the Food Safety Guidebook accuracy and assembly.
Assists in maintaining partner agency files and ensures all documentation is completed/renewed on an annual basis.
Assists in developing current holiday schedules for meal preparation and delivery.
Maintains an open channel of communication with partner agencies and Second Helpings staff, volunteers, and students.
Provides additional coverage for Director of Partner Relations when necessary.
Provides assistance in other areas as requested and when time permits.
