Proven ability to enforce all rules in all sport-related activities and venues. Must have substantial knowledge of the technical aspects and procedures pertinent to cheerleading including rules of the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA). TITLE: LGRAC Intramural Referee DEPARTMENT: Athletics & Recreation SUPERVISOR: Robin Ducharme EXTENSION: 6517 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Referees will be expected to referee intramural or club games, keeping players safe and the games under control. This position also requires referees to act professionally and to serve as role models for the participants. Referees are required to wear referee jerseys when working a game. This position also requires that referees communicate with captains/coaches to ensure games start in a timely manner. All employees of Babson College including referees are expected to uphold the core values of the college. QUALIFICATIONS: - must have be very familiar with the rules and regulations of the intramural game being played. Responsible for enforcing the rules set forth by the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association. Assists in the distribution and collection of all uniforms and equipment. Organize and posts a daily schedule for the team and assistant coaches. Performs all other duties as the principal may deem to be in the best interest of the sport, pupil and school.
